Pelton (ESPN) ranks Jalen Tyson as 3rd best rookie in NBA Summer League

Best rookies:

  1. 1Kel'el Ware, Miami Heat
  2. 2Tristan da SilvaOrlando Magic
  3. 3Jaylon TysonCleveland Cavaliers

Playing every game for the Heat en route to the final, Ware averaged 18.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in a well-rounded performance that suggests he might be able to battle for minutes in Miami as a rookie. Ware, the No. 15 pick out of Indiana, recorded four double-doubles — including one in the title game — and had 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks in his best performance against the Dallas Mavericks.Having played just three games, da Silva made a strong statement, particularly with his 3-point shooting. A 40% 3-point shooter from the college line at Colorado, da Silva went 10-of-17 (59%) beyond the arc while averaging 17.7 points per game. Perhaps more sustainable was da Silva's playmaking, as he handed out nine assists in three games.Another experienced college player from the Pac-12 (Ware also started his career at Oregon before he transferred to Indiana), Tyson bounced back from a four-point outing midweek to put up 44 points in his last two games in Vegas and came within an assist of a triple-double against the Los Angeles Lakers. Tyson achieved 50/40/90 shooting splits and also averaged 7.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists from the wing.Best rookies:

For the 1st time in Cleveland sports history, all three of our historic major sports franchises have competent tenured front offices. I can cry right now.

My unrealistically optimistic summer league prediction was Emoni shooting at 65% TS%.

Sadly Emoni disappointed, but even better that our first round pick is the one that hit that mark instead! 68.4TS% is ridiculous, and actually beats out Merrill’s high mark of 67.6TS% from last year.

Obviously it’s only Summer League, but nailing picks like this is exactly what a team in our position needs to do to take a step forward without a ton of assets

Ware is the only talent of the 3 and these guys are playing vs the toilet of the G league. You things need to stop thinking these players matter because they are the garbage and playing vs the Emoni Bates of the G league. We have no prospects and need to trade the bums like Allen and Niang for serviceable players. I wouldn’t let Bates clean my cats litter box because he is worthless at everything in life.

Stop loving trash because is kind of shiny trash…
