Klay is a successful addition…but ONLY if used properly.
I’ve watched a lot of games since his return in 2022, once he crosses that 30 min mark he starts wearing down, like a LOT. The Warriors had a terrible record when he played more than 30 mins (although some of that can be attributed to the whole team as well).
I know that’s the case for a lot of players tbh but with him it’s especially more concerning because he’s a 34 yo old whose shooting form is very leg-dependent. 2023-2024 is when he started getting noticeably slower on the court so it’s really up to Luka and the team to put him in a good spot so he can C&S.
Defensively you’re better suited matching up Klay for big, slower, and heavy wings. In the past he could stick to shifty guards, not anymore…so they will need to consider that as well.
It’s gonna be up to Kidd and the coaching staff to figure out and optimize his rotations and scheme to put him in a position to succeed. Klay can be a huge asset…and also a huge hindrance if used incorrectly.
Anyways, good luck and stay healthy this next NBA season.

It’s still not enough.
Denver scares me, and so does OKC.

Luka is going to avg 5 assists per game to Klay alone. Not even his game total, just his straight up 5 per game to klay.
