He looked pretty good I thought the last couple of games. The comments of people saying that Bronny was no better than an average joe on the street was just plain disrespectful lol Bronny has legit athleticism if he can sharpen some of his skills and shooting he could play a role in the league.

Sam was actually pretty hard on Bronny in that piece, although not necessarily unfair imo just showing that the path for Bronny is going to be long and tough.

FWIW I listened to the podcast yesterday and Vecenie said he still felt Bronny was pretty bad in those last two games and his defense in particular was way worse than it can reasonably be if he wants to be a legitimate NBA player.

Not saying his word is bond but just adding context.

The discourse around Bronny is insane considering he’s a 2nd round pick. With that being said, I watched every single summer league game and his defense was good, not great.

He loses focus, has some bad positioning, and his hustle isn’t nearly where it needs to be given his limitations on the offensive end.

He has moments where he looks great defensively because of his insane athleticism and instincts. He just needs to tie that into hustle & focus and he can have a good shot of being a legit role player in the NBA.

He needs to also be limited to the g-league after the opening week.

My reaction to any of this nonsense from now on will be 🤨 wake me up when he’s a real NBA player. “Looking like he belonged on the court” is a miserably low bar for someone getting this much media attention in a Laker uniform.
