  1. More quotes:

    > Says it sort of felt “inevitable” they would play together at some point.

    > “Philly was No. 1 for the majority of free agency…it kind of fit my game, where I was at in my career, and it fit the trajectory with where the team was going…they made it feel like home from day one” [*definitely a lie lmao*]

he’s pandering, he openly said he wanted to retire a clipper, then said he wanted to be traded to Golden State and ended up here because we gave him the max.

Pandering P but i’m glad to have him he’s gonna go crazy

  3. George taking a page out of the Bryce Harper/Matvei Michkov book of Philly fan pandering.

“All-star game friends” is kind of a perfect description of acquaintances though.

  5. Agree with the thoughts that this is pandering. But I’m fine with it. I feel like the Sixers aren’t fully integrated into the city in the way of eagles or Phillies players. Ideas to become a beloved Sixer:

    – run the broad street (or Philly half marathon or even Philly 5k since the broad street timing is bad)
    – go to games of other local teams or rep the jerseys of other players publicly
    – do a food tour and go around a bunch of the beloved non touristy local spots – especially in south Philly
    – go play pickup at some street courts (people loved when Embiid was doing this)
    – In Game – hyping up the fans. People love when embiid just waves his arms to get the crowd going
    – publicly say you love the Philly fans and if you get boo’d just own it and say you know you weren’t playing well.

Most important is being good but we gave guys like Matisse a long leash cause we liked him.

Remember when McNabb and T.O. were boys at the Pro Bowl?

I guess many of you don’t since you weren’t born.

Omg this guy man. First it was he always wanted to be a Laker when in indiana, then he never wanted to leave OKC because Russ is the best, than he grew up as a Clipper fan in Palmdale and will retire as a Clipper, he was home, now he was Joels best friend.

I respect his game, but he has been giving Steven Segals heritage vibes for a while.
