TSR, I love your channel but I think you’re missing some stuff here. In a vacuum you can argue that Keldon is better than Cam, but building a team is not done in a vacuum. We are looking for solid, role playing wings to complement Victor. Cam is better for floor spacing, flow of offense, defense, etc. Keldon is the perfect example of a guy that was made to be the best player on a shitty team. He’s just not a good fit on a future contender IMO. He has terrible basketball IQ, he’s a non-factor as a passer, is a terrible defender, an underwhelming rebounder, and overrated as a floor spacer with gravity. He only plays at one speed and plays like a damn bull in a china shop. The spurs are trying to build a long, defensively minded, high IQ team that spaces the floor and moves the ball from what I can tell…..Keldon does not fit in anywhere in that plan. Keldon also lacks the star upside he would need to match his play style and inability to fit cleanly into multiple lineups as a supporting player.
If we trade for Lauri, I'd like to wait until after the upcoming draft- that way whateverourpickisgoingtobe we get and we know what the other picks we got for next year are too. At which point, if you want to trade on draft night, before or after- we've already learned for the sake of it, what this year's team was capable of and what the resulting draft pick is. We can potentially bring in really great young talent into our young team and if we so deem fit, send out a guy or two to get an upgrade. A best of both worlds proposition, if you will.
People hating on johnson are same 🤡s that wanted derrick white cuz he has 3pt shot now and won 🏆🤦♂️🤷♂️keldon is 24 years old younger than when we got manu ginobili's rookie year 🤡s stop with the nonsense what keldon has become from being the 29 pick is like last real project pop has developed and still has on roster🤦♂️🤷♂️also he never has solid team so he can play his role…give him this last year and see how he plays with real pg/team all season long and when pop is actually coaching and not tanking for castle 🤦♂️🤷♂️also best lineup last year was with him in it🙄keldon was just hosting camp with dejounte and kawhi you knew they were grtting traded because they wouldnt appear no where…and keldon been active this summer with spurs
Jazz; it won’t happen at all, what Ainge did to Brooklyn while with the Celtics. It’s a camp fire of all GM’s on why draft picks are important in the future.
Nets; it makes sense, trade Keldon for Cam, maybe a pick swap as well. Spurs need a 4 to play with Wemby since Salaun was drafted by the Hornets. However this team needs veterans that have playoff experiences. CP3, Barnes, and Cam Johnson is a tremendous start on the Spurs getting back into the playoffs.

I would take Cam for Keldon, just looked at his stats, the year the suns got to the finals he shot 45% from 3. if he could duplicate that with the Spurs, that would be tremendous.

cam johnson and cp3 was part of the suns finals run in 2021, we really miss them. That said, you cant go wrong with cam, better than your average 3nD guy. He's like the warriors brandon podz, luc mbah a moute or trevor ariza to cp3, and cp3 loves playing with those guys.

WE CANNOT TRADE KELDON¡!!! You can't forget the spark he brings no matter how average his shooting might be.
I hope we keep Johnson and the picks through at least the start of next season.
Jazz already have accrued 15 first round picks, equal most with OKC.
