I’m ashamed he was a Spur. With these comments just makes me wonder why he was a spur.

If chet was on the Spurs Devin would have been the number 1 option… chet is good but Wemby on a whole another level.
Even if his numbers were close to Wembys, his impact wouldn't be.

Chets floor- second or third option on any team except maybe a team like the Spurs… Wembys floor- first option on basically any team, except LeBron, that includes OKC… You put wemby on OKC and his stats improve… Chet on Spurs slightly better than OKC but not as good as wemby… L take by RJ
In the full interview, Richard said he though Chet was the ROTY up until March. If you look at the votes, Richard was part of the unanimous vote.
He went up in stock for his Timmy interview, now back down for this horrible take. Now, I see why Tim likes to give him a hard time.

When OKC rested SGA and JDub towards the end of the season, Chet still didn’t put up the same numbers as Wemby. Tbh, I think Richard just said that to be nice because Chet is a guest in their show. He still voted for Wemby as ROTY in the end, and he said it to Chet’s face that up until January, he though Chet was better but after that, it was Wemby all the way. Also, they were baiting Chet to say something that they could turn into a headline and Chet was not falling for it. Chet even said it to their faces that they’re all actors, meaning he knows what they’re trying to do there. Respect to Chet because he didn’t fall for that.

Chet played 90+ games and his totals and averages are still below Wemby’s totals and averages and Wemby only played 71 games on minute restriction. Chet’s PER36 stats is still lower than Wemby’s regular stats. I respect Chet, but Wemby is clearly better and he’s been better since FIBA U19 World Cup. It’s just that Chet always had the better team.
The eye test alone should tell anyone with a brain who’s the better player. Throw out the stats, forget who plays on what team. It should be clear and obvious, but I guess if you shoot lots of bricks in your mid pro career, you have credible takes.
As a Spurs fan and Tim Duncan fan , the KG convo was real and valid KG was like that defensively. Everything Timmy could KG could do but he was more mobile and could legitimately guard 1-5. Timmy was still a great defender but he was a way more reliable and willing scorer and had a multitude of moves he could go to. Timmy wasn’t afraid of the moment either, not to say KG wasn’t but it was something you had to draw out of him and at time he was tentatively to shoot. But overall they were both great players and both were mvps and won on the biggest stage. What we both agree on is the Dirk vs Duncan debate! Duncan was better and could play both sides of the ball.
RJ likes to suck up to whoever he is with.
