Am I tripping or the team is WAY better this year?

IMO this year the offense will look more fluid without PG and our second unit improved a lot,KPJ from the bench is pretty nice

If both teams are healthy, I still think last year’s team was better. Kawhi & Harden are a year older now. The new squad is better defensively but they lost some firepower. PG was disappointing as a 2nd star in the Playoffs last year but he probably would’ve been better as a third option if Kawhi had been available.

I disagree with your starting 5 for this year. You can’t have Norm & Harden starting together. They would be the worst defensive backcourt in the league. You may close with them at the end of games but you shouldn’t start them together.

Batum will be 36. At this point, he’s a backup PF who can play 15-20 minutes during the regular season. If Batum finishes the season healthy, then maybe you can increase his minutes during the Playoffs but I don’t think he should be starting for the whole season anymore.

Kawhi could very well be injured most of the year which means old man Harden is gonna be 1st option with Zubac being our 2nd option.

KPJ could get to trouble and be suspended.

FO still exceeded my expectations with all the great signings.

Edit: you also forgot we have DJJ

Yeah, you’re tripping. This team will be a play-in at best.

I know this has been said a million times but let‘s PLEASE get a starting PF. We‘ll have the same problems as last year and everyone will be saying „why didn‘t we get a PF when we had the chance?“

I know TLue likes small ball but please. This can‘t be the only option.

  5. I love Batum, and I’m excited to see what he can do for us this year. But….I want to see him do it off the bench, behind a younger and stronger PF. Really hoping we can pull one last ace from our sleeve – that may be the last piece that really takes us to the next level.

Though, we still have the same problem we’ve always had: if Kawhi and Harden are healthy, we are great. But if either go down, we lose a ton of top end upside. And I’m just not convinced that Kawhi’s legs can make it through the playoffs anymore.

We have less mistake prone players in Westbrook and Plumlee leaving, but we have to see how the new guys gel together. Hopefully we have a good training camp. I think Mann will start over Powell and DJJ was promised a starting spot from what I heard. That puts Kawhi at the 4 again, unless we start DJJ at the 2 and Nico at the 4. You also forgot Kris Dunn who would be our backup point guard. We are wing heavy again and we also have Kai Jones as a PF option.

you forgot Dunn, DJJ and Jordan Miller

No way tmann doesnt start over batum

  9. Do not start Norm, he doesn’t do well in that role.

    They won’t be fit.
    That’s the issue.

    PG:Harden/Dunn SG:TMann/KPJ SF:DJJ/Norm PF:Kawhi/Batum C:Zubac/Bamba.

    Starters: Harden/Mann/DJJ/Kawhi/Zu

    Bench: Dunn/Powell/KPJ/Coffey/Batum/Bamba

    3rd String: Miller/Brown/Diabate/

    Unused: PJ, Bones?

    2-way: Cam/Flowers/Kai?

Batums older now idk about him starting, Mann was a better starter when he was hitting his 3s and is better defensively but unless Zu/Mann takes that offensive leap and KPJ proves he’s 6moty material we’re weaker offensively. If Zu/Mann take over PGs shots well and KPJ shows out I’m hoping we can trade PJ, Bones, Coffey, Powell for a starting PF and put Miller in the rotation.

  13. Kawhi might play half the season. That’s the reason this team won’t make the playoffs
