    No!!!

    Not DiTwoWay Mutumbo!!!

So who is this Huff guy, seems a little bigger.

Edit: it appears he drives and shoots 3s and is 7’1. Definitely less athletic, but probably more similar to the center the new lead assistant had on his Paris team.

    It is probably his idea.

Former G- league DPOY and first team all G-League. Odd to waive Jemison for another 3rd-4th string big though.

Is this just another 7ft big body for Edey to practice against?

Like this gives us a big with true center size and some shooting ability while I liked jemison those were his two clear weakness

Well that’s surprising. Really liked Trey and thought that he would be on the squad this season due to his SL performance but the team says otherwise. Like the size on Huff and we always need more of that.

**Damn!** I liked Trey. He really grew on me.

Huff doesn’t have a ton of NBA gams/minutes but —*at least from a stats standpoint*— he looks good per-48. Also, [his shooting stroke is legit](https://youtu.be/5-hgEBuV-DI?si=885B17ag8eCkT8pv). **ALSO**also, he takes ownership over the paint which is kind of a thing that Trey needs to be better at right now and Huff is actually good at that.

***ALSO***alsoalso, he reminds me of Jordan Klepper. And I do I love me some Jordan Klepper.

I’ll miss Trey but I think this is a good move.

  6. Excited for the signing but hate this for Himison. Hope he gets another shot somewhere. Salute big fella

he was the care bear. his greatest skill was caring. go back and watch highlights from last season and see how much fucking effort he put into every single possession, it was hilarious and endearing at the same time.

best of luck to the big man

Love this. I wasn’t a huge Jemison fan and this move has a lot of upside. You get a big body to throw at Edey in practice. You get a bigger, better defender than Jemison who can also shoot. With bigs it’s nice to have diversity. Now we have the behemoth in Edey, the small ball bouncy guy in Clarke, and a shooting defensive specialist in Huff.

Dang, well, I’m sure Jemison played good enough in SL for another team to pick him up, I’m pretty surprised, though. His defense wasn’t great, but he set decent screens it seemed and found ways to be open for the lobs

Would be really surprised if Jemison isn’t playing for the Memphis Hustle this year. I don’t think this is an indictment on Jemison per se. He could still carve out a niche as a hustle big, but a fully healthy Grizz squad may not have room for him (with JJJ, Edey, Clarke, Aldama and GG/LaRavia as swing forwards). Better to get a third big with legit size as two-way big. I will say though, as someone who watched almost every Nuggets game a season ago, Mike Malone just wouldn’t give Huff any regular season burn outside of extreme garbage time, even after he dominated the G-League. It was weird. I personally think Huff can play.

I would have just waived Derrick Rose and asked him to become a player development coach or something like that. He doesn’t really have much left in the tank unfortunately.

Dang, I thought Jemison was a good project big for depth and to take the X role. Good luck Trey!

And welcome Huff! Looks like he’s gonna be a big body practice big for us for the foreseeable future

Damn, I liked trey. Goodluck to him. But would rather took a swing with charles bassey after the spurs waived him.

Not sad to see Jemison go. But I hope he does well in the future. Seeing him play a few times in person last year and at summer league last month, no way I could see him improving into a player that could deliver solid minutes as a backup like X could.

Look up the highlights from Jay Huff when he played the Cleveland Cavaliers on the first day of NBA summer league. I was at that game, and Huff was amazing! He was dunking in a variety of ways, way more athletic than people think. Also did demonstrate an ability to shoot in Las Vegas. I do have concerns about his defense and rebounding in the post, but I wasn’t watching that too closely. I’m OK with the move, because Jemison is very limited as to what he can do on the offensive end of the floor.
