Folks give Jordan hell because we never had a winner under his ownership, he deserves some of that for sure. At the same time he deserves a lot less shit from Charlotte fans imo. Man tried to buy the OG Hornets but Shinn backed out of the deal because Jordan wanted more control. He took over a team that was the butt of relocation jokes and committed to keeping them here in the city. He brought a little bit of buzz back with the name change. He clearly wanted to sell to someone who was going to care about keeping the CHARLOTTE Hornets in the league. Selling his majority stake and falling back seems to be working out well so far too.
E: it hasn’t been all good but it could’ve been worse.
