Had Miami completed the rumored 3-team trade to acquire both Iguodala *and* Gallinari at the 2020 Trade Deadline, do you think it would have been enough to push that team over the hump in the Bubble?

After the Iguodala deal with Memphis was announced, it was also reported that the Heat were working to expand the deal to also acquire Danilo Gallinari from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Danilo averaged 18.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and shot 41% from 3 that season, and would have probably taken Duncan Robinson’s role in the starting lineup (moving Duncan to the bench, thus bolstering our depth)

The holdup? The Heat and Thunder would only agree to the deal if the Heat came to terms with Danilo on an extension. The deal breaker ended up being that Miami didn’t want to commit to any money beyond 2021, while Danilo wanted a multi-year extension (which is also why they lost Jae Crowder in free agency)

  1. Ah I forgot abt this. Woulda been awesome. The Iggy trade itself was so elite tho. Getting Jae was icing on the cake (even tho he had a bigger on court role)
