Spurs Tried Trading For Darius Garland

The San Antonio Spurs Tried Trading For Cleveland Cavaliers Point Guard Darius Garland. The Cavs are currently uninterested in trading their young Guard but he would make a ton of sense alongside Victor Wembanyama and as the PG of the future for the Spurs.

  1. If Castle is looking more like a SG then Spurs could trade Branham and Vassel for him at the next trade deadline if Darius and Cleveland are ready. Then focus on a SF and another C in the first round of the 2025 draft.

  2. Everyone brings something different. Trae's the one player I don't want to see in SA, but he brings swagger to the table. Victor already has a passion for the sport that shows in all aspects. Imagine two passionate players (consistent players) with Pop at the helm. Atlanta needs to bite the bullet and buy into rebuilding…and that's hard to do when you lose superstars and your merch isn't pushing. Sometimes you need names to stay relevant. Ask Washington about that when they hired Russel Westbrook. Ask The Clippers about this, too.

  3. Why would you trade vassell for garland lmfao. The most lateral move you could possibly make, absolutely pointless. Vassell is the same age, and you can debate that he was a better player last season especially after that playoffs garland had.
