We need to trade maxi and Hardy for Nance Jr
Powell plus maxi and a pick gets you Isaiah Stewart who can backup or start at the 4 or 5 whenever you need him to, he can gaurd 3,4,5, and it frees up naji to only worry about the 3 spot which means you don't need anymore wings, plus it allows you alot more lineup flexibility because now p.j. can move to the 3 when needed.
we can take maxi and some of those 50 useless guards and get a power forward

To trade Maxi for anyone actually useful, you'd have to add a pick, which I'm not going to do for Thybulle.
I'd be ready to add Hardy for the right player under contract.
Dirk never complained even when his ankle was sideways.
But maxi can block and shoot 3's when hes healthy and confident, rather keep him unless you can get a similar kind of player

#3 Mavs of all time, Jason Terry immediately pops in my mind. Or steve nash. Jason Kidd, Jamal mashburn, and Jim jackson was the 90s Mavs, rolando blackman too, but I never saw him play so I can't put him up there. I would also say terry because hes a fan favorite

Jaden Hardy has not been given the full chance to shine. Jesse played in the playoffs, but that's like hia first playoff run. How can you demand so much on him when he hasnt been given significant playing time. I'm rooted for him here and want him to get more playing opportunity. I thought this year, it would give him that with Josh Green gone

The Mavericks biggest need is to get Luka, Kyrie, and Klay to the NBA championship as close to 100% of their strength and health. Coach Kidd really needs to be able to manage minutes for the top eleven or twelve players to maximizes the team's ability to play a season of 100 plus games at full strength.

I think he keep maxi. He spaces the floor and is a good perimeter defender who can guard multiple positions effectively
Dallas needs to get someone that’s legitimately between 6’9 and 6’10 that can defend and space the floor. PJ and everyone else is 6’7 and shorter. That’s why makes Maxi so valuable because he fits that mold.
Replace Maxi with Santi Aldama, trade Hardy for Santi straight up or add a second if needed
Coop saying Kidd has reservations about Hardy’s defense is laughable when it was Kidd who played THJ (Mr No Defense) till the wheels fell off. Sometimes what aggravates me about opinions is they throw them out there with no context. I do think he’s challenging Hardy to be better and Hardy needs to answer that call.
A back up 4 that can play defense 😊
Wing who can score and defend is literally Quentin grimes. Someone who’s 6’7 can handle the ball, defend and score is less wing and more PF and we have that in Naji Marshall. If anything we need just another bac up big who can shift between PF and Center. Y’all keep saying wing but then describe an almost PF
If Luka gets 1 ring and breaks all the mavs records then I promise you he will pass Dirk. Dirk is my all time fave player, but the only reason he’s that regarded in mavs lore is because he brought our first chip and he’s the only generational player we’ve had. If luka has the longevity he’ll even break Lebrons records. How does he not pass Dirk
