If we hadn’t have traded it to back them, they wouldn’t have traded Mikal Bridges. The win projection takes into account the fact that they have traded Mikal Bridges. If we’d kept the pick, meaning they didn’t trade Mikal, the pick likely would’ve landed in the 8-12 range.
We essentially doubled the outgoing draft assets in this trade. It was a win-win.

Just checked your post history and it’s just trolling in different teams’ subs. This post makes a lot more sense with that context. Good trade by Stone.

Nets don’t trade Mikal without their pick
Nets keeping Mikal would win them some games
The odds of getting a top 3 pick again would be extremely low
Phoenix pick will be more valuable, as they’re currently a dumpster fire, are one injury away from being a lottery team and might blow up soon.

Do some research yourself it’s not hard to figure out. Nets weren’t trading Mikal unless they owned their future picks and could fully tank

Y’all it’s not hard to do the math and see we got more picks. Do some research before posting.

I personally think it was a twofold move.
One it helps do a solid to the Nets and keeps them as a potential trade partner in the future since we didn’t completely screw them over.
Two, our front office really likes the Suns picks and think we can get something from them or we think we can swing a trade for one of their stars down the line.
I really do think Stone is trying to avoid a Morey situation where suddenly teams are more hesitant or demanding if we approach them on trades due to how aggressive Morey was during his tenure at the Rockets.
