MacMahon: “My best educated guess is that Lauri will not be traded this summer. He will sign the extension after Aug 6. Lauri’s made it clear: He wants to be a part of the future there…My point is Lauri is not on the market” Lowe: “My best intel is that there will not be a trade this season”(3:25)

  1. I just want this to be over. So many different reports and I don’t know who knows what.

It’s also not fair to the current players on the roster to have this drag on forever. Not saying it’s management’s fault either

The most sane take I’ve heard yet about all these trade talks. Lauri’s staying put.

  3. Put yourself in Lauri’s shoes. Why switch teams to be a 2’d option and have to learn a new system. Especially a team that’s been mired in drama lately. His family is said to love living in Utah. I don’t see SF as an attractive destination for them.

  4. Lol so Lacob just blue balling us and going all in on the second timeline huh? Same way they “tried” to trade for Paul George.

Make the move for WCJ then and a couple more consolidations

We can still field a decent team but we NEED to clean up the overlap and stop with the Smurfs Ball v3.0

  6. Dear Steph and Steve.…kindly bring KD home 🙏🏽

Imo this is kind of a “No duh” report. Anyone that thought a trade was going to be made after it was reported Utah was looking for two good young players and all our draft capital was smoking Crack. Even meeting in the middle we were never going that high, and they’d probably never go that low.

Everything essentially hinged on the idea that they’re looking to fully reset and would have to sell eventually; evidently that’s not the case. Hopefully now we can all move on to the next trade rumor we’ll get put into because we have Kuminga.

  8. We’re not getting him. Teams dont want us to be good anymore

  9. Then tomorrow they will be on the verge of a trade again this shit is lame

So Lauri wasn’t on the market when——>
The Jazz were leaking like hell trying to get teams to bid against each other?
Sounds like this man is getting his intel from Jazz leak side. Sure ya, we don’t want to move him! Never did!
    Lmao please.

Playing a dangerous game with Steph if there’s no plan B though I guess PG was plan A.

  12. Anything Tim Macmahon says has to be taken with a very large pinch of salt. He does more “taking” than actual reporting.

Watch him get traded next week lol these people don’t know squat jack

  14. bfolksdiddy

All of this noise, only 2 things are known to be true.

    1) Lauri wants a deal with Utah cause he’ll make 20% more salary than another team, not necessarily cause he “loves it” in Utah.

    2) Utah is going through a rebuild. Paying Lauri only lowers his trade value and a risk of injury for a player who’s had several. If Utah wants Cooper Flag, how does holding onto Lauri make sense.

  15. CummingInTheNile

no shit, Ainge wants a kings ransom and the Warriors dont want to trade Kuminga

I’ve been saying this. He definitely not getting traded. If it was going to happen, it would have happened already. We might as well shift our focus to someone else.

All I know is trades rarely happen when they have been leaked and never happen when they drag out over a month. Not happening at all.

  18. contaygious

Lauri going to be an old man when Utah is good tho haha

  19. Good, Ainge can fuck off. Go get Cam Johnson and/or WCJ

  20. Look it always came down to Lauri.

If Lauri is truly fine just getting paid and going through a whole rebuild during his prime and “getting injured” for half the season again, then there is no reason for the Jazz to trade him. They can try the SGa in OKC approach.

The only reason to consider a trade for them is if Lauri isn’t ok tanking and being shut down. Or if there’s a massive overpay.
