Hell yeah. Fwiw I’m feeling that Peyton will likely play backup 3 more than backup 4.

westbrook strawther watson cancar saric.
but i also believe we’re gonna use zeke as a 4 now when holmes is injured, to try and recoup his value.
also stagger should be westbrook strawther/murray watson mpj/cancar/tyson saric
trey is gonna play a lot too i believe

Would feel more comfortable with Watson at SF and Zeke or Cancar at 4 – Tyson isn’t NBA level in my eyes. Also, Saric is going to be an absolute sieve at C but we can’t add more rim protection because spacing is already a disaster in this second unit. We DESPERATELY need Strawther and Saric to hit shots. Going to be tough sledding if Watson and Zeke/Cancar can’t find their touch.

Maaan this roster would look so nice with Holmes

No Zeke Nnaji in sight. Life is good.

I mean our bench is made up of guys that are either completely unproven (Strawther and Tyson) or fell apart in the playoffs (Watson, Saric, Westbrook)
I do like the theoretical fit though. They should be better at putting up some points which our bench struggled with last year and Watsons proven to be an elite shot blocker which should help on the defensive end.
The biggest question for me is which two emerge as the guys we can trust in the playoffs next year. My hope is it’s Watson and Strawther. My concern is that it’s Westbrook and Saric.

I can’t see Hunter Tyson getting very many minutes this season. I think we’ll stick with a 9 man rotation on most nights.
I could see us staggering MPJ for a little more size and for his shooting to space the floor. Putting Russ and Watson together could is already going to be tough offensively, but if Strawther/MPJ/Cancar are hitting their shots we should be alright

Not really sold on hunter tyson

Ooofff, this team needs a bench upgrade bad. Nuggets are my second favorite team and I follow them closely, but this teams depth is not good.

Westbrook is a really good bench player. People think he sucks because the LA teams depended on him for too much. He’s gonna be like our 6th option and will be great in that role.
Strawther is gonna be a bucket this year, he looked so good in summer league and he could definitely shoot 40% from 3.
We know who Swatson is on defence, if he can score a bit more consistently he’ll be an elite bench player
Cancar has been held back by injuries but he hustles his ass off, can shoot, and is big. I’m excited to see him
Saric has been a good player for years, is only 30, and just had a bad finish to last season. But he can be a great shooter/scorer, and his lack of rim protection should be covered by Swatson and Cancar

Zeke being a shot blocking 4 next to a slower bigger center instead of a small ball 5 was great late last season.

I would be very surprised and also very excited if Hunter Tyson was in the rotation

this is easily a worse roster than this past year. acting like 3’s aren’t required to compete. acquired highest volume most inefficient 3 point shooter in the league acquired.

Peyton shouldn’t be playing the 4

A lot better than last year. 💪🏻

I’m so worried.
This team is thinnnnnn. You don’t want any of those bench dudes to be forced into big minutes. Love Braun but he’s not going to be a quick KCP replacement. Westbrook is only average in limited minutes, he’s disruptive over longer periods. You sure as hell don’t want to be in a position where you’re relying on him (go ask the Clips). Julian can show out but as soon as he does he’s immediately the trade chip. Their season relies on so many of these gambles coming in at the same time while nothing changes in their stars. This is a team teetering the edge of the non-play-in and if things go wrong it’s 2019 or 2020 warriors.

I’d still consider Zeke over Tyson. So no I’m not loving this lol. But if anyone’s gonna make it work it’s 15
