That’s me after reading some bullshit about LeBron. People talk here about LeBron like they just started watching basketball.

This isn’t going to be easy.

If you are a tanking team you don’t want a player that is going to drop 40 on bad teams winning games by himself.

If you are a playoff team you don’t want a player that gives you zero points in a playoff game and that isn’t even the worst problem, the defense you get from this player is.

It makes him useless as starter so no team want this player unless he embraces a 6th man role and is willing to take a longer contract making less per year.

For us it is also tough because we can’t move him without getting back a PG in return, a PG better than him meaning it is going to cost more assets and Reaves can’t be one of those assets otherwise it will create another hole in the starting lineup.

I may be wrong, but I get the feeling Max got his 8 millions contract when he still has to prove himself even as backup because we are planning to showcase him to the point he is perceived as an asset around the league, them we include him in a trade to upgrade the PG position. It would be sad losing the kid, but at some point if they all prove themselves, we are trading one of our 3 young shooting guards (Reaves, Knecht and Max) to upgrade the PG position. At the trade deadline a young player like Max and an expiring contract of a good regular season PG may have value around the league.
