Vet Min Center – Bruno Caboclo – 3pt range & 7’7″ wingspan

Caboclo has a big matchup tomorrow AM vs. France. He could easily end up in foul trouble against that big frontline but keep an eye on him over the next few weeks as he could make a very good vet min pickup as a backup center.

After having a very impressive showing in the qualifications for the olympics he apparently had a workout w/ 17 teams in Vegas.

Yes, 2 years away from 2 years away times 2, but he's shifted his game quite a bit over the last few years. He never had the shooting or ballhandling to follow the expectations put out there, so he's made the shift towards playing center.

He's only 6'9 but has an absurdly large wingspan. He's bulked up substantially, has a solid 3pt shot, is a roll threat, and can protect the rim. For reference see his recent matchup against Vucevic where he played well on both ends. He might not be everything we need but he's a better fit than Hayes and Castleton imo.

Some long ass arms. AD’s wingspan is 7’6” for reference

Bruno is not even a proven nba forward let alone a reliable backup center lol. I watched the Montenegro game live. Had some good moments and has clearly evolved his game but been a project his entire career and is worth nothing more than a 10-day until proven otherwise. Clearing a roster spot to commit salary to another project big is literally the last thing the team needs.

This place’s obsession with the backup center position is certainly something to see

3PT range? He has 30% career average. He’s also 6’9 218 lbs. A center that weighs less than Cam Reddish? Não, obrigado.

Ah. Bruno Cabolco. The guy that was two years away from being two years away

Not sure how hisgame translate in the NBA though. I watched their OQT run and Bruno was great doing everything. Literally everyhing. Can be because of lesser talent? But hey gonna watch his game in olympics fasho

Isn’t this the dude that was 3 years away from being 3 years away or something? I guess those years have passed now…

  8. Damn he’s bulked tf up. First seconds in I couldn’t recognize him till they showed a close up of him. His jump shot is ugly tho so he Fs won’t stretch the floor.

One of the original 2 years away from being 2 years away.

  10. If Bruno was legit he would be on an NBA roster. If we are getting another Center we’re better off trading for one of Portland’s 4 Centers (Duop Reath or Robert Williams).

Or maybe Day’Ron Sharpe as been discussed here multiple times. Since Brooklyn doesn’t have him in their long term plans (last year of his rookie deal). And they have Clowney, Claxton, and Wafford.

JHS and Sharpe almost make identical salary. I think Brooklyn needs a backup PG and they are tanking for Cooper Flagg.

Caboclo is playing solid defense against France … Huertas is selling the game with 3 straight turnovers
