Saw this question on X via (@joskiila) What are the odds we don’t even have to trade for a star and Scottie, RJ, IQ are the big 3 of the future As long as we address the depth and add a perimeter defender/POA guy, this can be one of the most lethal teams in the league

I know it’s one Olympic game for RJ but what if our guys all develop the right way perfectly to where in 1-2 years we actually don’t need another high level player and we can just build on our depth (obviously this basically is like playing with house money and would be the perfect situation) but just a thought after scrolling on x

I truly believe Scottie can be a top 5 nba player in 4-5 years

Zero. Scottie would need to become Giannis, Quickley would need to become Dame and even then it might not be enough.

  3. I just finished watching my ritual Scottie highlights, so I’m pretty pumped.

The sky is the limit for him. He’s got an insane body, fantastic IQ. and his shooting improvement last year was a huge surprise.

    If he can;

    1) continue to improve his shooting

    2) develop more iso scoring skills

    3) gain the confidence and mentality of a number one option

he could be in the MVP convo in a few years. Not guaranteed, but he seems to be putting in the effort.

With a decent supporting cast I think we could be a nice team. But as it stands the supporting cast sucks.

I believe in Scottie, I just hope we don’t take too long to evaluate the others like in the past and are more decisive about surrounding him with the right pieces

Let’s not do this again. OG was supposed to be kawhi and pascal was suppose giannis

I believe in Scottie. And like IQ and RJ as well. But even with improvement it’s hard to even compare to BOS / DAL this year. There are a TON of talented teams in league. We’ll need at least anothe all star/all nba player to add to this core.

We need legit rebounding before anything else.

  9. I don’t think it’s impossible, but it’s easy to say it’s possible because we don’t really know yet.

I think Scottie’s got what it takes to be a perennial all star, I think they all have the potential to become well-rounded playoff “guys”, but there’s still so much up in the air.

OKC just picked up Caruso & Hartenstein after being the 1 seed, so there’s still room for really good players to slot into the team and add new dimensions to how they play.

What we got is a solid foundation

I don’t know about big 3 but Scottie and RJ can 100% be a dynamic duo similar to Tatum and Brown. They will need a few more quality players (IQ being one) around them to contend but they are great building blocks.

Edit: wow getting down voted on raptors sub for being high on RJ and Scottie go figure lol

Can Scottie/RJ jump to the level of Tatum/Brown…probably no…but even if that miracle happens, Boston has an elite Defensive Backcourt that can allows take the responsibility on offence when needed, a sharpshooting Center who can defend, and a great bench…to win without a top 5 current player who need an elite team.

1 of the 3 would have to develop into a top 10 player, another 1 of the 3 would have to develop into a top 25 player. Chances not high.

Lol RJ has one good game and all of a sudden posts like this pop up. Stop coping. The answer is 0%.

Nah but this young core 3 can hopefully at least be a fun young team they can build off of, I hope we can be a fun young team to watch like Orlando were last season

  15. If they get a star big we have the rest of the ingredients. Take Gasol/Ibaka off the ’19 team they don’t stand a chance
