Is this a play-in team if healthy as of today? Replace players not active with equivalent types.

These players now, in their current form? Or are we just talking about their time with the Lakers?

    Starting 5: Lopez / Randle / Ingram / Pope / Ball

    Rotation: Zubac, Kuzma, Hart, Clarkson

  3. CockroachForeign6419

    Lonzo/Clarkson,
    KCP/Hart,
    Bi/Kuzma,
    Randle/Nance,
    Lopez/Zubac,

I would say they would be in the 9-11 seed range

  4. satansayssurfsup

Solid team with some great role players but I’m not sure a team with BI and Randle as their best players is going to do that well in the playoffs

  5. Michaelskywalker

    Not with Luke Walton

But with a good coach they a 6 seed no cap

  6. LoveTheHustleBud

They were an 11 seed before any of the young guys hit their prime so it’s not a stretch to think they’d be 10th or higher all in prime. Off top have them over SA, Portland, Utah, Hou.

Can argue they’d be better than gs, nola (assuming AD is there with zion), and likely lac depending on how healthy Kawhi is over 82 – personally not betting on harden being a top 2 option working out that great over 82.

So I guess I have them at 9th. One spot worse than we were this past year.

Even in 2020 this team is first round fodder at best

  8. imironman2018

Not really. I liked our young core. They all had such potential. But they lacked cohesiveness and an alpha who could score in crunch time. Ingram, Randle, Kuz were all so early in their player development.

  9. this is a lottery team in the west.

Lonzo, Ingram, and Randle are notoriously injure prone even if you assume they start the season healthy. You would be lucky if you can get 50-60 games out of each 3 of them. We dont even know if Zo is gonna be back to pre-injury level at all given how long he has been out with 203057263 knee surgeries.

BroLo is pretty washed at this point. KCP and Hart are cool but they aint wining games. Kuz and Clarkson havent been playing winning basketball for years now.

I just dont see it especially how stacked the west is this year.

I was really high on Lonzo and I felt him leading Bulls to the 1st seed was only the beginning

  11. SPMrFantastic

Make Luol Deng a Coach and we might be pretty Scrappy play in team. He’s done wonders for that South Sudan program.

  12. Theoneandonlylog

The current Lakers are barely a play-in team lol

  13. This type of team depends on the type of coaching they receive.

  14. 13WillieBeaman

Damn.. there was a time that Luke was considered a high BBIQ X’s and O’s kind of guy…

  15. YourBuddyChurch

Superstars win championships. There’s only been one team in 40 years to win without an all-nba/future hof player. This team doesn’t get it done

  16. thesonicvision

    Hell no.

No disrespect to these guys, but hell no.

  17. Puzzled_Yard_3324

I believe that Spain’s intellectual disabled mens basketball team that won 2000 Paralympic gold was definitely the healthiest. (This is satire..)

  18. SagalaUso

What if we took Tatum instead of Ball? Surely he would still be on this team. The “not for sale” from this squad.

  19. No.

BI is nice. KCP is cool, and Julius Randle has cold and hot streaks with mostly cold and very rarely very hot.

    Lopez is not bad.

    Lonzo is…Lonzo.

Lonzo, KCP, BI, Randle, Lopez? Gives 2018 Brooklyn vibes. Zero superstars, pretty fun team, solid all around, no peaks. Maybe a 10th seed due consistency/depth if anything. Not a chance at anything higher.

  20. LukaDoncicfuturegoat

So the team has no PG because Ball is out for two years, Ingram kinda missed a lot of games.

So the only year this team would be able to achieve something, assuming we’re able to retain all of them financially and they took the development arc in their career is 2022.

Randle was all nba and Ingram was an AS. We could have fluke our way into 5th seed at best or 9th seed at worst and we need to take account the coaching part.

Lottery every single other years, this isn’t exciting at all.

  21. Artistic-Tax3015

If you don’t have a top 10 players or three top 30 players, you’re not a contender. This team is below .500 and in the lottery.

  22. iNfAMOUS70702

Hell nah…this team would get cooked in the west

  23. LeadPrevenger

This is probably the best team in the league. The contracts wouldn’t work but this is in fact overpowering talent. We’d be over the hard cap I’m sure

  24. Le4-6Mafia

This team is a 7-8 seed at best and ain’t winning a playoff series
