  1. > Lauri has really taken to Utah. His family has taken to Utah. Obviously the Jazz can trade him between now and Aug 6th, and Lauri knows that, but Lauri has forged a really close relationship to Will Hardy. And Will has really found a way to unlock his career” “And Lauri really recognizes that and appreciates that, and wants to be a part of the rebuild.”

  2. If this is at all true, it really doesn’t make any sense. The soft tank has gotten them nowhere for the past 2 seasons, why does ainge insist on keeping it up? He can shoot us in the foot all he wants to stroke his ego but he can’t do it without shooting himself in the foot as well.

This means nothing. Ainge can trade him before the 6th. This is all negotiation tactics. Ainge doesn’t want to pay Lauri $40M to be the 10th seed.

our team is better than last season . so that’s something to be happy about

  5. SummerGoal

Well that would be a mistake for both him and the Jazz… but it really does fuck us over

  6. Economy_Topic8316

Good the warriors don’t need him. Find someone else

If he don’t wanna leave, then we move on. What’s more to talk about? He can stay there and get 11th seed. Shrug.

  8. I think he can still be traded at the trade deadline, if he signs exactly on the 6th, so technically not this year, but still in the coming season… but talk will definitely come up again if Utah is tanking or he seems unsatisfied. This maximizes how much he can make. This according to an earlier post. Either way, we shouldn’t get him, if he’s not going to re-sign with us, imho, and getting him after he is maxed out is also a pretty big investment… on the other hand if he stays after Steph retires, then by then we’ll have plenty of cap space and he might find himself on a tanking team again, lol.

Was there any way Lauri would get the contract he wanted if he were to get traded out of the Jazz? If not, it makes sense for him to want to stay in Utah to get his big contract on Aug 6th. Then maybe look to be traded to another team on the deadline

This whole episode is a waste of everyones time.

He just wants that bigger money now and if he plays on warriros with more stars for a year there’s a chance that’s going to keep him from 300 mill price next summer.

  12. Eric Apricot broke it down yesterday. Lauri can get a lot more money from an Utah extension than he can from being traded than extended by the Warriors. That’s really all there is to it.

  13. Can we move on, or would this be the only exciting thing for this sub 😂

Oh no, he doesn’t want to be traded, whatever will we do? Trade them all the FRPS til 2040, all of the SRPs to 2050, all of the pick swaps til 2060, Podz, Kuminga, TDJ, Moody and draft rights to Cannon Curry.

  15. Useful_Coyote_5796

He’s extending with Uath. I’ve already moved on.

Cool. Let’s take all those assets, hold them, and trade them for bron when the lakers are 2 games under 500 mid way through the year.
