Overall I agree with KD here, and I think what Keyshawn is saying here is dumb, especially with comparing KD to Paul Pierce, like cmon bro, that's just disrespectful, there's a reason why the 2017 Warriors are considered the greatest team of all time by a lot of people.

I think responding to Keyshawn, especially about Basketball, is a losing proposition. Dude is the living, breathing version of the meme of dumb Lakers fans.

Pierce showed a nice ability to adapt his game when the big 3 was formed, tone down his scoring and up his playmaking, while also getting more efficient.
However, he isn’t anywhere close to Durant. He made them unbeatable, and he was already a lot better than Pierce when he was on OKC.
Obviously KD is a better player than Paul pierce and Keyshawn is a dummy but I still think he’s correct. Yes the warriors still win 2 (if not 3 if we say pierce wouldn’t have gotten injured when KD did) championships with Paul Pierce. The point here being most of us are not impressed with KD’s rings and neither was KD that’s why he left
Durant has the thinnest skin. He cannot take criticism.

The Warriors had such a talent gap on everyone else they still easily would’ve won. You can argue the Warriors would have won if KD wasn’t on the team and they didn’t replace him. That’s how stacked they were.
Any significant upgrade over Harrison Barnes probably has a similar level of success. KD was the best possible option, maybe in the history of the league, to be put in that spot skill wise. But a lot of all star level SFs in their prime would have made them basically unbeatable for a 2-3 year stretch.
Warriors would have won 60+ games and the title both years with Pierce EASILY

KD has been open that his Warriors tenure, championships aside, he had fun, but I don’t think he was as fulfilled as he expected to be with the Warriors. It wasn’t as fulfilling for him. I do think the Draymond stuff didn’t help, I do think the fact he joined the Warriors of all teams was a factor. But by the end of his Warriors tenure, he was ready to bounce. He wouldn’t trade the decision though I’m sure because he got rings from it.
KD should’ve just ignored this one. Responding like this just makes it clear that this kinda insinuation genuinely bothers him, but as others are already saying, replacing KD with pierce would’ve still made that the best stacked team of all time, and the warriors in all likelihood win the same number of rings
KD probably only looked at the 1st round, TO and Zach Thomas were also in that draft. Only mention them because it is only a hypothetical.

A good olympic shooting game has people thinking KD is jesus christ like he hasnt been swept in the first round twice now as the best player on a team. Paul Pierce is an all time great, and he gave Bron problems with the Celtics. Put him on the Warriors and maybe they are theoretically a little worse but its the same exact result
Let’s not downplay Paul Pierce here. Warriors are winning with him as well. In fact, without Lebron to terrorize the league we’d probably have Paul Pierce in an entirely higher tier right now. A tier that KD only reached because he joined those warriors and showed out.
The warriors would very likely still win the same amount of championships with Pierce instead of KD. You guys have to remember that KD joined a stacked team that only needed a slight upgrade from Barnes.
Honestly not a crazy take replace kd with any elite forward/sg and they still win pretty easily. Pierce was also definitely good enough to win fmvp on that team although curry probably gets it in that scenario.
Prime pierce on warriors dominates llol. They win the same chips. They may also do better vs rockets considerong KD was the reason they lost a few games in 2018
