No other team has a cap space left to renegotiate him this season. So if he is to be traded, he will lose the amount of money he would have been renegotiated this season (which is up to his max of 42mil but his salary is already 18 mil, so 24 mil more than now).
If Lauri extends with Utah, do you think the Warriors would go after Simons or Grant from Portland? I think Simons being a Klay replacement more on the timeline of B-Podz and Kuminga would be a perfect fit.
