It seems like a team with Wemby and Rudy should be doing a lot better. Franz Wagner looked like Edwards today.

4 pts 1 board is nasty Rudy fuck was you out there doing

He hasn’t been good in the Olympics. I wonder if it’s the whole “learning to play with Rudy” thing.

  4. No_You_2623

Not to mention they needed a 4 pt bailout to squeak past a Japan team missing Rui. Crazy.

Can’t wait to get these guys back from these dogshit international teams and coaches.

Rudy without guards, what else would be expected. Should’ve snuck Conley onto the team disguised with a beret and baguette

  7. They either don’t know how to use him or have Jack shit around him other than Wemby.

    Probably a bit of both.

Rudy is such an interesting basketball player. He’s trying to grow Wemby. But Wemby is not Ant yet. Gonna take the under for the spurs this year. France is gonna take third. When Rudy wants to dominate he can get 8 & 16. But he was deferring to Wemby without the double.
Rudy, go stand by the rim and dunk it on those mf’s.

Rudy and team France had a shit year at FIBA last year. Give him a couple days in darkness and he will come back to win his 5th DPOY with the Wolves

I know France has horrendous guards but Jesus Christ rudy 7’2 and 1 board?

Rudy was awesome defensively. The box score pessimists in this thread should realize their guard/perimeter play was terrible and he had more deflections on top of the 4 blocks in 18 minutes (!).

Rudy has not been great on offense but I blame a lot of that on the guards and Rudy trying to do too much at times.

Rudy was really good on defense today for the most part.

Germany went about 5 or 6 minutes without a basket once Rudy finally got to play in the second half but France was already down by 23 points. He came in an helped start a run.

France’s offense (mostly the guards) is the worst I have seen. It is a disgrace. France’s guards cannot shoot, cannot pass, cannot get past a defender, cannot set up an offense, and turn the ball over more than any other team’s guards. France attempts to have Wemby and Batum as play makers but the other teams guards can double since none of their guards are a threat to score and no one gets the ball in good position because the guards cannot pass them the ball without turning it over.

France’s defense is surprisingly bad without Gobert out there. I thought that their defense would be amazing with Gobert, Wemby, and Batum rotating at the 4/5 but their guards put up no resistance on defense. Batum spends a lot of time guarding the other team’s top perimeter player. The other team has open layups and three’s whenever Gobert is on the bench. I am surprised how ineffective Wemby has been on defense. He has been really bad defensively aside from a few times he has used his length to block shots.

I think that both Collett and Diaw should be fired. France probably has 4 or 5 guards not on the team that are probably better than any on the roster… Traore, Okobo, Huertel, Hayes, Maledon, Hifi, etc. France has 14 players in the NBA and a few big prospects but only have 4 NBA players on their Olympic roster and only three in the rotation.

    How’s a dude who’s 7’1” get 1 board in 18 minutes???

He should have been a +/- 0 in a blowout loss today. For some reason the box score doesn’t count free throws correctly when you are subbed in and out during free throws.

He was bad on offense in the first half and did not have a good stint in the second quarter but he did a lot good today. 4 really good blocks, prevented a lot of shots in your paint, and did not miss a shot.

Time to let Rudy play point center. Bring up the ball. Facilitate. If he’s playing PG and throwing all the*passes* then he doesn’t have to *catch* the ball

Time for a pay cut 25 million per year for Rudy.

Watching my boomers vs Giannis last night – even he was underwhelming. Like the boomers had no match up for him and he pretty much could have 1 v 5’ed every possession on offense but he seemed really passive and happy to let his team take a lot of the spotlight. Maybe the NBA guys are happy to get through and not get injured 🤷‍♀️
