FRANZ IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE MONEY!
Guy is an actual winning player. He deserves just as much as anybody else in his class, and in fact I would say he deserves it more as he actually showed he is a winning player and can help lead his team to playoffs as a top option. Other top draft peers were brought in to be the 3rd/4th guys behind all stars or all nba teammates and somehow got credited with their team wins despite never really actually being pressured to help their team win like a true top option is or when given the keys to the team completely faltered and had losing seasons. But Franz has always been a top option on the Magic since he got drafted and has always had led the team as one of the most impactful players and winning players. Other guys have faltered as soon as they were allowed to be the best on their teams, while Franz has gotten better every year and has shown that he impacts winning positively.
He doesnt get enough credit for being so dominant all around. Franz is just as good as anybody else in his class, and imo I dont trade him for any of them. Guy is probably the best 2way player sub 23 and despite losing his 3pt shot, he became the best finisher in the NBA, one of the best wing defenders, and an increasing proficient playmaker and ball handler. His numbers went up across the board. Franz is surging. Absolutely worth the money. With his 3pt shot back, I truly see an easy all star case, and possible All NBA case with just that alone.
Franz joined Germany national team and they instantly won Bronze in Eurobasket, came back the next year and instantly helped them win Gold (was player of the game every game he played including Finals Mvp), and is now helping lead an Olympic team to at least 2nd in the first rounds. Franz is the most impactful from his class, and any questions about him being worth the money, is truly ridiculous.
