The biggest factors in the Spurs low record was forcing Wemby at the 4 earlier in the season and not pairing him with Jones at the point sooner. Other than that, I personally don’t think the addition of Paul and Barnes is enough to truly make the Spurs a top ten team.
Yes, Wemby should ideally get better his second season, but banking on his performance to carry the team is not fair when we consider that the West continues to be a juggernaut of a conference compared to the East. I’m just surprised the Spurs didn’t do more in their offseason, but at least they should look to be involved in future trades and have next Draft class to pair another potential young star with Wemby

People underrate Castle. He's a bigger guard with great feel for the game before he's even played with CP3. Once he gets comfortable I think a starting lineup of Castle, Vassell, Barnes, Sochan, Wemby can be really solid
The play-in round is the dumbest thing. It cheapens the regular season. Just like MLB’s wildcard round, if you lose in the play-in you missed the playoffs.
Play 82 games. Best eight records get in. Easy. None of this “not good enough but here, have a cookie” bullshit.

Spurs aren’t ready yet. They could another 2 lottery picks maybe. Wemby needs to have a strong supporting cast otherwise he’ll be too good too quickly.
