The Ingram contract discussion made me ask myself 2 questions. First, what is the ideal salary range for a championship-contending team's 3rd best player in this new CBA? Two, what is the ideal salary distribution for a championship-contending team in this new CBA?
Before free agency, the Locked On Kings host Matt George had a discussion with Locked On Pelicans host Jake Madison about a potential Kings trade for Ingram. Madison said he didn't think the Kings package of Barnes, Huerter, and picks would be enticing for Pelicans (which I agreed with at the time.) By the time start of free agency, many Pelicans fans said they would have taken that package for Ingram. Amazing how much the Ingram market has changed between now and then.
I wonder why ingram was so unwilling to shoot 3s… Could it be like a stat-padding thing? Like he didnt want his 3-point percentage to look bad/worse than what it is?
So many times throughout the season, Zion would drive to the basket, force the defense to help on him, and he would pass it to Ingram, who would be wide open for a catch n shoot, but he would instead dribble it into a tougher contested Mid-range.
