Break. He played 30+ minutes for 3 seasons, and showed no significant improvement in performance, eagerness and IQ.
Jalen is no championship material just like the Beard. Fun to watch but unreliable.
Houston cannot just watch the situation of now.
They should watch the situation of future.
If they give 40 million+ to Sengun and Jalen.
They cannot has a good situation when give Tari/Jabari/Amen/Cam/Reed an good contract.
So, if Jalen cannot be great in the 4 year of his careers.
Let he go will be the best way.
Then, in my opinion:
Jabari and Whitmore will compete to the last contract.
Houston can let 5 young guy stay here at last.
Sengun 40 million,
Amen 30-35 million,
Tari 20-25 million,
Reed 30-40 million,
Jabari 30-35 million/ Cam 20-25million.
Bench：

Jalen Green should be a trade chip in chasing up some bigger stars, Reed Sheppard and Cam Whitmore will step up for his position anyway, time to consolidate.

Guys it upsets me that some of these people act like these guys aren't human. Well all know Green was going through some things off the court…as a former athlete that played both basketball and football I can tell you that when your head isn't clear it will affect your game. Don't want to get into his personal life but let's keep it real. That's the real story behind it and everyone who has played sports knows what I'm talking about. I had a boss and his motto was if you ain't right at home you won't be right here.Think about it…Hats off to the Rockets for not giving up on him.. Sometimes it's more than basketball guys
JG needs to hit the open 3s, level up of his D, and read the game better (shot selection, off ball movement, lane/rim attacking, passing, etc.)
He hasn't shown us that he deserves rookie max. If he delivers this year consistently, give him the max, no problem.
If not, we can't leave our asset to 'the mercy of the market'. Pack him up with Brooks, (if necessary +Landale, Tate, Jeff) and ship him off before the trade deadline.
Let’s see how Jalen looks after a full offseason under Udoka. Be realistic people, what kind of improvement did you really expect from Jalen when Silas was HC?

Ime need to create 2 differenti style of play. One slow with Sengun and one fast with only Jalen, Shep and Jabary on the court.
I could see the rockets packaging Brooks, Landale, and either Green or Smith to trade for a top tier starter at the trade deadline
