  1. This part of the season always sucks. In July it’s like okay it’s not bad the finals were a couple weeks ago, here’s the draft, here’s summer league, etc. but then when it stretches into August and September with NOTHING happening it’s rough lol

  2. I highly think the Mavs will perform better than the Nuggets. Denver lost Reggie Jackson and KCP which is gonna hurt them, and I know they got Westbrook, but I still don’t see them finishing top 3 in the West. I can see the Mavs finishing as the 2nd seed above the Timberwolves but finishing below the Thunder, as they upgraded their defense like we have but I think they may have done it a little better. The west will become more competitive next season, but we’ll just have to wait and see what’ll happen that season.

  3. Nuggets had an AWFUL offseason I don’t think they’ll end up in the top 4 seeds at the very least 🤷‍♂️

  4. Honestly I know jokic is good but let’s not pretend they didn’t Lost Bruce Brown and KCP among more.

    (Nick did address this)

Huge losses and nothing to replace them. I don’t understand how they still get this respect with a AVERAGE AT MOST roster lol. Are we sure they get 50 wins is my overall point👀

  5. I legit think the Mavs are poised to be the best in the west. OKC I think everyone has as favorites but I genuinely think they’re reaching their peak in terms of players growth. The timberwolves I don’t think will ride above be Mavs and the nuggets I think are in a rough spot as far as trying to be champion favorites are concerned.

  6. Let us put it this way. Thunder might have the best record in western conference but they are not beating Mavs, Denver or Wolves in a 7 game series..it’s not possible!

  7. A Curry trade makes the most sense for him and the Warriors both. If you're not gonna go all-in to back him up then let him go to try elsewhere and give yourself a rebuild jump-start to boot or else it's just the Portland-Lillard situation.

  8. No offense to anyone that thinks otherwise, but the Mavs are going to be the #1 seed in the West for the 2024-25 season.

  9. Dallas will be the 1st seed in the west and face off the Kings in the 1st round and we will sweep them, then we will face the grizzlies and beat them in 5, OKC we will beat in 5 and then will face the Knicks and beat them in 6

  10. From March 7 through the end of the Finals, the Mavs won on a pace that would result in a 58 win season over 82 games (29-12. Exactly half a season). And then they got better (we hope) in the off-season. I think with health they win at least 60 games. Without, or if they smartly workload Luka and Kyrie they likely win 58 give or take 2-3 games

  11. You have said father time a few times. That could hit the Mavs at some point too. Kyrie and Klay are both going to be in their mid thirties. That's also something to consider.

  12. I keep saying it and people won't listen. You take a team that had 2 scorers and the rest were role players that had trouble doing better than 10ppg, and take away 1 of the two scorers for 26 games. Then you add the last 2 starters 60 games into the season and they STILL win 50 games (despite taking the last 2 games off). Now that same team that ended the year and made the Finals have added a defending SG who can shoot the three, a defending SF who can shoot the three, and one of the best 3pt shooters in history at the SF, and you predict they'll win LESS games? Crazy to think they'll be worse than last year, so at a MINIMUM they should win 55. Granted, anything higher than that would take a really healthy season out of the starters, but even with the same level of injuries as last year (worst in the NBA) they should win 55 just because of the additions, a full season with Gafford and Washington, and Lively's development.

  13. Counting on relatively good health, the Mavs very well could be the #1 seed. Sure, they might have lost a little defensively…but the Mavs should have an elite offense.

So yeah, the Mavs won't have the #1 defense like they were after the trade deadline. But they should have enough to be like Top 10 in defense. Meanwhile, you want to talk about spacing the court. The Mavs have 3 legit logo shooters. So now you got 3 defenders staying home…what you gonna do about Lively & Gafford? As a defender, if you give 6 inches of shade towards someone else…that's gonna be a vicious dunk off your dome.

And we believe that Grimes & Naji are improved shooters over what we lost in Josh & DJJ. And they too will benefit from having 3 elite shooters on the court with them.
