Good thing the Olympics determines NBA success!

  2. CazOnReddit

Noted determiner of future NBA contract/success, how well a player does at the Olympics

  3. All his reg seasons and past playoff run should prove it, not olympics

  4. IMovedYourCheese

Clearly Denver should dump him and offer a max contract to FIBA superstar Dennis Schroder.

  5. TheRealJohnMara

In that case Jayson Tatum is also a “total zero” and the Celtics should release him immediately.

  6. Elsquidwardo95

If Jamal demands the max he is getting the max no question

  7. Nervous-Guava-7390

Jokic could prolly turn Dlo into Curry lmao

  8. herseyhawkins33

Call me crazy, but his NBA contract should be based on how he plays in NBA games

  9. Ill_Celery_7654

The Nuggets don’t have a choice. They will not get equal value back in a trade and they won’t find a better option in free agency. Not paying him means they aren’t maximizing on the prime years of Jokic.

Is he still playing hurt? Health would be my biggest concern with paying him.

I heard Patty Mills did pretty good at the Olympics. Looks like Denver has some moves to make

    denver gazette

is that like the paper peggy hill used to work where should bought ad space to run her column?

  13. belizeanheat

He was moving like absolute dogshit so I’m going to go out on a limb and say he was playing hurt

  14. RVAIsTheGreatest

He’s gonna get it anyway. Too important to the Nuggets success and a proven staple, even if injury prone. They have no leverage. Likely will be some kind of compromise re: injury provisions/bonuses. They just gotta get him healthy and get him right for the season.

  15. I mean he does help the nuggets win and works with that team well. The Olympics is a weird game where you just throw these players together and say “go win it”, he marched the nuggets and they’ve won with him. I think he deserves the contract if he stays healthy

  16. Horror-Television-92

Yeah right. They’ll give him a max.

  17. ShowdownValue

Guarantee if the nuggets don’t max him all the same redditors on r/nba will criticize the nuggets for letting him walk.

  18. teensonacid

yes, 4 games that matter not to the NBA timeline should dictate his worth

  19. Stackedwrap69

If teams base contracts on international play then alot of teams would be in worse positions than they are now

  20. ShowdownValue

Holy shit, it was written by kiszla?! 😂

Non nuggets fans won’t get this but the article is pure trash. Don’t even need to read it anymore

  21. dizzymidget44

Yeah you should base all your NBA decisions based on FIBA

  22. Its a good thing FIBA has no real bearing on NBA performance. Dennis Schroeder would be a max player if that was the case lmao

  23. BurnCollector_

This guy writes like he’s a C-grade student of LA Times hack Bill Plaschke.

Nothing proves what you can do in the nba like a 3 game Olympic run. Especially AFTER you were a key piece to winning your only championship. Go ahead Denver, cut him loose.
