Wasn’t Gordon Hayward’s haircut pretty much the Biber haircut while he was at Butler and early on at the Jazz?

  2. DaddyHotFoots

Before this becomes a “Now if a white guy said that” Lets remember that Larry Bird was good enough to say whatever he wanted.

  3. eh_too_lazy

I remember him getting a few sports center top plays back with the jazz when he was up and coming. they always had something to say about the white boy dunking

  4. Gamewiz2x3

The most annoying person you know has seen this and is writing an essay on “reverse racism” as we speak

  5. nevermindthatyoudope

Sam Hauser is shocked such a thing would have ever happened.

It depends on the White guy. Hayward was targeted like that early in his career but not as he became established. White guys do have to earn their stripes a bit…some of them. Not all of them.

People didn’t play Chet like that. People aren’t gonna play Flagg like that. It depends on the guy. People don’t play Caruso like that. Some of it is also swagger. Not just being White.

Same way every time I play pickup and get a blow by I’m Jeremy Lin

  8. SurgicalNeckHumerus

That’s just great trash talk. Effective too, it clearly got in his head. The lakers bench would yell “jimmy neutron” at Duncan Robinson during the bubble finals… don’t get how it’s racist that people point out that the person you look like is of the same race

side note he kinda looks like Kobe am i crazy

Is this based on the movie “White man can’t guard”?

  11. Back when he was in Utah he was a heck of a defensive player and up there with the best two way players in the league.

  12. Let’s not forget the lakers calling Duncan Robinson Jimmy Neutron in the bubble 💀

Basically some dude gets targeted every single game of basketball ever. This is just shit talk. Hayward was far from a bad defender.

For example, Luka doesnt get targeted cause he’s white. It’s cause he’s built like a fat refrigerator.

Kyrie? Cause he’s black? Nah cause hes tiny.

    Trae? Cause he ugly? Maybe

  14. People who can have a sense of humor about themselves are the best to hear tell stories.

  15. Dunbar247

John Stockton shattered that stereotype for good. Chris Paul is third in steals but he’s over 600 behind. At his current rate he’d need to play about 10 more seasons. LeBron is almost 1,000 steals behind lmao.

  16. BananaRepublic_BR

Larry Bird would definitely brag about this.

  17. dont_shoot_jr

Joe Ingles has a story about how he thought NBA defense was really hard but then after a couple of years he realized guys just weren’t familiar with his defense, with even 15 days calling for ISO’s on him

  18. Owlawesome

No worries racism against white people are completely fine to them

  19. KingsElite

I remember Jazz fans when they drafted them saying ugh, why did we seriously draft a white guy, he clearly has a low ceiling (compared to black players). Dumb stuff

  20. bmanley620

That was pretty funny. I could see Artest saying that

  21. InsideAcanthisitta23

I could not be on TV—recorded or otherwise—with my desk looking like that without a ton of anxiety and fear of judgement.

  22. KgDawk21520

The sam howser special ,c’s keep getting stops this way.

  23. I mean, nothing new. There was Kobe and Manu story. And in general there is (maybe was, dunno about today) a racial stereotype that white dude are trash and can’t play. There is even a movie about it, lol.

  24. ThisMfkrIsNotReal

Ron Artest was never accused of being even the 2nd smartest guy in the room.

  25. thedrizzle126

Won’t find a better interview with a player of this caliber. The exposure and craziness of the story are perfect for this show.

He has always been a turnstile on def, his skin color doesn’t matter here… His lack of def does and the criticism is justified. Wish the dude could have stayed healthy his offense skill was fun to watch
