Jayson Tatum benched again at Olympics; Boston Celtics Christmas opponent revealed
Jayson Tatum was once again benched against Serbia, racking up his second DNP-CD of the Olympics. And according to the Boston Globe, Tatum did not look happy about it. This is Tatum’s worst summer. He failed twice to be recognized as the best player on his team; he got passed up for playing time by two more teammates; he’s racking up DNPs, and poor kid is getting clowned by the world for being corny. Definitely not the championship summer he envisioned for himself.
I was rooting for Serbia. I dont like Curry James Embiid and especially Kerr.
There is no way you don't have a role for Tatum. It's a slap in the face. His defense certainly could've helped. I don't care if it was 8 minutes he should have gotten something. For you to look at this man and say we would be worse with you playing is utterly ridiculous! Please last time Kerr coaches.

You know what makes the olympics so much fun to watch when you forget your bias and enjoy the moment. I came away from this game absolutely buzzing. There is too much complaining for what we just witnessed.
Anthony's Team USA squad destroyed 23-year-old Bogdanovic and Serbia in the gold medal match at the 2016 Rio Games, 96-66. Anthony only had seven points on seven shots but knowing the star forward's tendencies, it's safe to assume he was letting Serbia hear it the entire night.
Team USA and Serbia also battled in the Group Stage of the 2016 Olympics and the United States snuck out with a narrow 94-91 win. Anthony had 12 points to Bogdanovic's seven in that game.

As a heat fan that always love to give any Celtics players and fans shit when given the chance, not playing Jayson Tatum is ridiculous. Sure Jayson Tatum shooting can be shotty at times, but he’s a 6’10 wing that can switch everything, make the right pass, and rebound at the very least. It’s a head scratcher. Never thought I would watch a Celtics podcast and 100% agree with John and the fan base lol
First off everybody is up in arms about Tatum being benched if he sucks and he's playing like s*** he should be benched now saying that I have not seen anything even remotely considered Superstar or Elite level play on his part he's missing shots constantly is missing passes he's just giving up on plays. This whole Olympic thing is making me think that he's extremely overrated and Jaylen Brown is being outshined because of Jayson Tatum's pretty boy looks either way Tatum is playing like s*** he played like s*** in the playoffs and luckily they still won because the fact that they had a great cast of crew
