I have yet to see a shooter with sweeter stroke. That jumper was WET.

He would’ve averaged like 10 catch and shoot 3s a game nowadays

My co favorite Knick of all time. (Tied w Starks).
The confound of Allan Houston:
1) One of the most visually beautiful offensive games I’ve ever seen. Dude was dripping with talent. I think a lifetime over 40% three point shooter. As good a middy. Legitimate post up scorer. Handle/athletrcism to get to the cup, big enough to shoot over people. Just *complete*. And so fundamental…..like an obvious coaches’ son. Unselfish. Probably to a fault….and that’s the confound;
2)He probably should’ve been a tier if not two better. All that talent I listed is unquestionable. But, he kind of felt like he blended in moreso than fitting out, if that makes sense. The unselfishness, you wouldn’t discourage ever in any player right? H20 absolutely had “fuck you’ talent. And in the Knicks best years with him, he never really leaned into forcing the issue. It was Patrick’s team.
By the time it was clearly his team, we get the 50.piece in LA on Kobe, and some scoring outbursts that we didn’t see earlier. In some sense, too little/too late but he always had that talent.
Interesting player. Thanks for the post.
