A reigning Champion signs to the Jazz, which is rare! We drafted 3 rookies last year, 3 this year, and likely 3 next year, so where does he get minutes? Better be team option after every year, to add leverage in case Svi actually becomes a good player here, so he can have high trade value

I’m not hating on Svi, but that feels like too much and for too long. 5M/2 would’ve been pushing it.

If it has non guarantees and team options and what not, then it’s fine I guess??? Id rather give this money and Juzang’s money to go get Okoro or Fultz though

Small contract with what I am sure are non guaranteed years on the end for a player that will probably not play a ton… Great contract to aggregate for trade purposes. Good tank move haha.

They are saying that the Jazz can do this with an exception if they still want to use their cap space in a trade.

    I don’t mind.

He shares agents with Lauri and the end of the contract will make him eligible for 10 years of service. That’ll allow him and his family to get on the NBA health insurance and pension. Im guessing Lauri and him are tight and the Jazz are doing them a solid

I am interested to see how much of the deal is guaranteed.

Why not take back a bad contract l like lavine and get draft picks instead of signing free agents like we did. Or on the flip side have tried to sign someone not 27 and below level replacement NBA player to multiple years. Not to mention our other free agent signings were older journeyman. For what???

Looks like only the first year is fully guaranteed, the rest are all non-guaranteed. It’s fine.
