Mayo is setting him up for failure and Milton for success, because, like Mayo told us right out of the gate, it is important not to be colorblind, you have to see color and go with it.

The Patriots coaches are hiding something on Drake Maye. They dont want to expose how he really isn't ready to play in the NFL.
Joe went to TN where a QB whisperer and former Heisman candidate and national title QB was teaching Joe. What did you expect to happen? TN runs blur ball offense and Joe felt he had all day to throw the all by comparison cause he did. So, what's to be nervous about. Just come out and make some plays, run when you need to. Drake hasn't seen SEC defense and you don't want to put your high draft in a situation where he make disaster mistakes in his first outing. They knew Joe was the more seasoned QB. So, you give im more rope. If Drake stayed in and threw some picks or pick sixs, or went below 60% against Carolina, he'd have a much rougher Friday morning. Forget where Drake was drafted, the two QB's stats were very close last year but with Joe throwing much fewer INT's. The struggles are normal for Drake at this time for a rookie. But Joe, from SEC experience and sound QB coaching at TN and with his skillset, even behind the 2nd string offense was going to perform. And to think, Joe was the worst of all Heupel's QB's on his resume. Clearly if Joe was 3 years younger like Maye, he probably gets drafted in the 3rd round. SEC experience, just matters more. The Boston Globe analysts were right lol.
The fact that one pre season game against the Panthers where Maye only had 3 snaps and Milton showed out against 3rd stringers and thats enough for you guys to declare Maye a bust and Milton a star, shows why our fan base is one of the worst in football. Dumb and over reactionary… a deadly combination
I don’t think they want Drake to be these starter honestly. Even if he’s better than Jacoby they’d have to hold his hand to a degree throughout the season and I don’t think they wanna deal with that

As a fan, I was not aggravated by not seeing Maye play. In fact I'd like to see Bazooka Joe go against 2nd team
This is not just a Mayo thing : all the younger coaches do not play their guys in preseason games.Their guys play in the inter team scrimmages.
Curran and Felger have to realize this fact.

It doesn’t matter if Maye gets hurt. They want to give him year and he is the worst of 4 qbs. Let him play entire game. Makes no sense.
Can’t risk getting him hurt. But from what I did see he make great check downs. Play it safe. That’s all the pats doing. Trust the process.

Agree completely with the consumer fraud line. Hopefully Maye gets reps in team on team drills with the Eagles. Hard to get upset at this time as we are far far away from relevance in the NFL.
No one mentions Drake is like 2 or 3 years younger than the other rookie QB's.He 21 give him a few years I think he will b better than all of them
I think they don’t want Maye to start this season. Seems like they don’t want to rush it and they’re gonna develop his super slowly
