The Clippers saw a ton in him. They had enough ball-dominant wings and couldn’t give him minutes to develop. Amir Coffey fit their role better. Boston needs the ball in his hands and he’d do wonders off the Spurs bench. It’d be good competition for the backup 3. I’m happy for Boston and the Spurs
This and Flynn are just mid to low tier signings to help fill up the training camp roster/ regular roster. its clear the spurs are targeting another low win season so just picking up whoever they can for cheap. Clippers lobbied most of their future getting PG for them to give up a young guy that scored alot in the gleague, it must mean they dont see enough potential in him which is concerning, then again they are in win now so have to trim the fat to pay their current guard heavy roster. hes 22 which seems to be old by todays draft standards but its much akin to how the spurs are seeing how maybe Branham just isnt a fit for them and might have to let him go even though he's young, never found his groove or potential.
Boston can play, I have been following him since he was playing High School ball here in Georgia. I just think he needs an opportunity. He is definitely a bucket getter. Very smooth game. Hope he balls out.
