Looking at free agency 2026 or 2027 are the potential windows for Brooklyn to potentially go after a star to pair with the top prospects they draft along with the current core or sign some quality vets to be competitive….
It really depends on the 2025 draft and if Brooklyn can select either Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey and strike gold in 2026 with AJ or Boozer 😳 🔥 the possibilities would be endless with the draft capital and big cap space at Brooklyn's disposal….
But most likely Brooklyn will use at least these next 3 years to develop a structure, build a main core of homegrown talent, and establish an identity to uplift Brooklyn's market back to prominence…..
Hopefully if Brooklyn can hit the right balance during these next two drafts and let the pieces organically come together this new Brooklyn era is going to be an exciting journey 🙏 😎…..
Looking at potential options in free agency at least these next two years most star free agents wil re-up with some teams while players like Brandon Ingram Jimmy Butler and Julius Randle could be available. Ingram unfortunately has had a very mixed career where he's shown glimpses of being a strong scorer but has been mired by consistent injury issues. Plus he apparently wants a $200 million contract which would be way too much to invest in Ingram. Jimmy Butler is still a strong player but due to his age he's likely going to want to compete with at least two stars and doesn't make sense while Randle could add that interior bully ball that Brooklyn needs but he's a mixed bag when it comes to health and given his contract situation Brooklyn would be better suited looking elsewhere.
DeAron Fox is a potential star that could fit in Brooklyn's team around 2026 and could add quality scoring and speed to Brooklyn's roster and could work well with the potential draft selections and current core 👍….
It'll be interesting to see how Brooklyn uses their max cap space in a few years 🤔…..
Looking at Cooper Flagg and Ace Bailey Brooklyn wouldn't go wrong without either one of them 😮….
Both of them can play the 3 and pairing them with Noah Clowney and Nic Claxton would give Brooklyn a bigger front court which defensively would help Brooklyn go to another level and get away from the unnecessary small ball philosophy 😁 🔒 🔥….
The main critiques with Cooper and Ace are their strength conditioning needs to be much better and they can refine some skills within their ball handling skills…. Cooper needs a more consistent shot while Ace needs to improve on ball handling and not rely too much on a jump shot and show more versatility….
Honestly these are not huge issues to correct and both of them have strengths on offense and defense 🔥….
It's going to be fun watching their progress during this college season and may the best prospect earn that top selection 👍…..
Dylan Harper would meet a need at point guard for Brooklyn and it might take a little longer timeline wise but Harper could help organize this team to get back to the playoffs. However it would require Cam Thomas and Nic Claxton to make big leaps and improve on their weaknesses since they will be the two most important players beside Harper….
But again we should not discount VJ Edegecomb who is going to be the wild card of this draft 🔥. Even though his fit to Thomas could be looked at as unbalanced they would actually compliment each other offensively given Edgecomb has the athletic explosion intangibles that Thomas lacks and Thomas could potentially improve on his playmaking to allow Edgecomb to offensively take over 🔥….
Definitely think Edegecomb and Harper will be battling for that third pick selection….😮
@BKNYHOOPS Another emotional episode tonight Breezy came on like he’s some sort of ambassador for Cam Thomas idk why ct fans feel so entitled to speak on ct behalf and defend him like he’s some sort of god or something to them it’s ok to realize that Cam Thomas is just a one dimensional basketball player right now that doesn’t mean he won’t end up changing his game and it lead to wins
Me personally I think cam will change his game but you won’t see the changes fully for another couple years shit doesn’t happen over night or in one season
Going more organic in rebuilding the roster, in the future, is the direction I hope the Nets GM is committed to, Drafting and developing mainly is the slowest route to building the roster into a title contender but I think it's the most sensible route.
It's been said the life gets in the way of making plans. Life isn't going to allow the Nets to skip over next season and plan for the 2025-2026 season. There are several things that could happen, next season, that could change our plans for the 2025-2026 season. Some college players, that aren't on the radar, could have a breakout season. Some highly praised prospects now, could possibly not play up to expectations. Glazing any prospect, before they compete on a college level, is only fun chat. After a season, in college, we'll have a more accurate assessment of their talent.
It took loosing Mikal Bridges, because he didn't want to stay in Brooklyn, that forced Sean Marks into choosing a direction. We're finally going to rebuild. Good!
I could just see that deer caught in the headlights expression on the faces of the panel when LBL4Life1 said he would like to move away from Cam Thomas. Without malice, I agree with him for the same reasons he mentioned.
I bet a lot of people would pay big money to listen to you guys discuss the NBA subjects over a bottle of bourbon. It's often it seems like that's what you're doing. lol
Nets are getting the first overall pick. The Nets are owned by the Koch brothers and they forced Houston to give us our first round pick back in the Cooper Flagg draft. Nets are absolutely guaranteed to get the #1 pick like the cavaliers were when they got Lebron & Kyrie, spurs when they got wembie, and New Orleans when they got Anthony Davis. New Orleans had the 13th best odds to get the #1 pick to take Anthony Davis but the NBA made a deal with the pelicans new owner and said if you buy New Orleans we will give you the #1 pick to which, that is exactly what happened. Houston giving us our picks back is the Koch family throwing their weight around, Houston had every reason in the world to keep the Nets pick, but when the most powerful family in the United States asks for their pick back, you give it back.
Brooklyn needs to figure out the perfect balance between utilizing the draft to it's full extent, draft at least one or two top prospects, develop the current core of Cam Thomas Nic Claxton Noah Clowney and Jalen Wilson, utlize the cap space to either take on slightly bigger contracts for draft capital until they are ready to contend by signing a star or high quality vets and use the draft capital as important currency to make bigger moves down the line 🔥….
“BROKE BaCK BEN?!” Yo SL had me dead bruh hahaha I’m dead, but at this point trade CT so yall can find the next young kid to hate on for real tho, shout out Breezy and SL, call me a glazer idgaf, but all love always<3
SL is another emotional Brookyln nets fan who’s delusional he thinks he right all the time but never listens to anyone’s points like bro what you saying don’t mean the organization doing what you saying why would they even listen to your argument you think the nets going to be magically be good when they aren’t even looking to be good right now 😂😂
@jonathanoscategui2678 Lauri not coming to Brooklyn and Utah kept him buddy so you was wrong bro and he can’t be moved until next year because of that contract he signed 😂😂
Told you that they would resign him they realize what type of talent he is and wouldn’t trade him for some spare parts ain’t gonna happen my guy 😂😂😂
@BKNYHOOPS Glad I haven’t been up here the emotions was on a high tonight they stay stressing that man BK out 😂😂
None of these players I see realistically coming to Brooklyn I think it’s gonna be someone mediocre not a Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, Jamal Murray none of them are coming here hell nah
You have to be a proven and competent organization to prove to these players why they should play for what is the nets selling point what are they gonna tell these players on why they should come to are team all we can tell these players is “it’s New York it’s a big market” what a joke bro 😂 that’s what we selling yeah ok sure we definitely gonna get someone over man that’s some damn delusion
@jonathanoscategui2678 Once again bro Fox wouldn’t come here because he’s looking to compete for a championship bro why would he leave the kings when they just got demar to go to play with the nets which is worst roster and then he would have to wait for them to build something around him while on the kings they already have a better roster yo bro your ideas for players is wild 😂😂😂
@BKNYHOOPS it’s too late for KP he’s injury prone and he just signed long term with the Celtics already he can’t be moved until next season look it up he won’t be a free agent
@BKNYHOOPS been saying we should’ve just traded kyrie to the lakers we would’ve gotten Rui, DLO, draft picks which turned into Jalen hood and max Lewis Rui we should target he played well for the wizards he just don’t get the ball like that if you watch it
@jonathanoscategui2678 bro Trae young is frustrated with the hawks for not putting a championship roster around him he wouldn’t come to the nets my guy what have we put around three superstars to win nothing what makes you think Jon that we would do right by Trae young to win 😂😂😂
@BKNYHOOPS yo bro whoever debated Brezzy idk who it was but on that cam Thomas thing he’s right tho cause think tho bro typically guys that just score the ball and don’t do anything else they don’t typically don’t get paid much bread unless they are superstars or they are improving on that CT haven’t shown that as of yet maybe this season he can or will but it’s facts
@jonathanoscategui2678 bro idk what AP was tryna say that take was dumb asl cause bro Anthony Edwards is a number 1 option he’s better than a lot of the Olympics players him and KD are leading that team in points almost every category so what da hell was his point
@BKNYHOOPS once again AP not letting anyone finish Gary couldn’t even finish his point without being cut off by AP😂
So when AP asks someone something right they have to answer but when someone is talking to someone else they can’t answer because AP cuts them off or he answers for someone else n cuts them off 😂
Ezzy E kept it real Dennis and Ben neither one of them dudes teach anything bro they brought Dennis to the Celtics to be a mentor/sort of leader to them young dudes on the Celtics and he wasn’t that he asked for a ton of bread then he goes to the lakers he wasn’t no mentor or teacher that nigga Dennis has never been a teacher show once in his career where he was a teacher 😂😂😂 Lebron even said he wasn’t a real point guard
@BKNYHOOPS Nah bro you wilding out Nets Kyrie was the most efficient version when he came here nets kyrie ofc he wouldn’t exactly the same that’s because he was a bit older he grew up and expanded his game
That’s a terrible take bk nets kyrie was a monster
I like how bk likes to bring up nba scouts reports to criticise cam thomas but then ignores the fact the ALL nba draft scouts puts cooper over bailey.. funny how that works right? Whatever fits your narrative right?

On a side note BK and SL you two need to settle your tension over a drink or playing some NBA2K 😮😂😂…..
2026? HELL NO! and also why do you need muscle just to dribble a ball? A ball doesn't even weigh a pound.

Goong to save this one for record.
Y'all sleeping on Watford. Dude will be balling out this year.
