I’m just happy he is not bitter about it like Jayson Tatum.

  2. justlobos22

He probably gained a lot of fans in the USA setup. They will def give him starting priority

Hali deserves a gold medal for the moral support

  4. FrnklndaTurtle

Hali just getting his feet wet. Next team should hire D’antoni and just run run run

  5. Brad-Stevens

Hali not playing in the Serbia game when the offense was stuck in mud was crazy to me

  6. Literal_Satan

He knows he’ll have plenty of opportunities to play a big role

  7. realudonishaslem

He may have not played but this experience will help him for the next olympics for sure

  8. They wouldn’t have won this game without his elite cheering ability.

  9. great-distances-1919

    Hali brought max vibes. Respect.

Usually this is just a meme, so it’s funny watching it come from him directly lol.

He next in line for steph place, probably starting with snt and tatum, with the big 3 gone. But they really need to construct this team good like this next time.

  12. Seeing Hali so animated and supportive of his teammates while on the bench was exemplary when you know he’s such a great player but simply didn’t have the minutes to go around. Much respect to him; I’m sure he has a good future ahead with Team USA and will be one of the leaders going forward.

  16. kingkongkeom

Best hypeman of any Team USA ever, celebrating everything and everyone at all times. Well deserved!

  17. sunnyasneeded

I loved his attitude the whole series – to cap it off with this tweet – well deserved gold!

  18. Leap-Day-0229

He was a good teammate and we heard nothing from his camp about his lack of playing time.

  19. texas2089

Honestly though Hali handled it amazingly. He didn’t sulk or pout. He cheered his teammates on with a smile on his face. Was always one of the first to celebrate or congratulate a teammate when they made a good play. He may not have had an impact on the court but he’s exactly the type of guy you want around your team. I gained a lot of respect for him.

The thing about Hali is that somebody’s gotta sit. If you do it with grace and enthusiasm it’s worth a lot. He deserves the full credit for a gold and a lot of respect. The team had immaculate vibes all tournament and he was a big part of it.

A sense of humor, especially when it comes to laughing at yourself, is a valuable thing.

  22. Thorlolita

At least he’s taking it in stride. Good for him.

  23. sorendiz

Lmao love how self-aware he’s been about this, he’s just there cheering, having fun with the gang and taking everything in. His time is on the way, no sense in worrying about it at his age and with his talent. Good attitude all around

  24. Chessh2036

He got a free trip to Paris, front row seats to LeBron/Steph/KD, a gold medal, and gained a lot of US fans. Thats a successful trip man.
