For those of you not on twitter, “NBACentral” is the biggest NBA news aggregator on twitter. They are constantly “going viral” for posting NBA/Basketball related news, quotes, and clips.

“Centel” is a meme page that is made to look like Central but is used to post fake and satirical quotes and news it’s absolutely absurd stuff that people somehow fall for all the time, causing these fake news posts to go viral.

Brunson is essentially saying that Noah’s opinion is so ridiculous, that he can’t even believe that it’s a real quote.

my least favorite bronze medal winner

Does he know that his sport doesn’t lead to signature shoes?

Noah Lyles seems very cocky. I get it, he’s the fastest guy in the world rn, but doesn’t hurt to still be humble. Also track and field is notorious for high barrier to entry for sponsors and endorsements, but I do think he deserves them. Just going about it the wrong way imo.

he said in his quote he wanted to bring attention to the sport and seems like he knows how to go viral and everyone is feeding into it without realizing it

guys has the worst personality, goes from talking shit cocky before his 100m sprint, then unsure of himself, quiet when he thought he lost, then back to being a cocky asshole when he lucked out a split second win

Someone needs to explain to him how capitalism works. No one is giving you a shoe contract because of accomplishments.

  7. YourAnBitxh

I never seen someone win gold yet his achievement will always be second.

Lyles is talked about more about running his mouth than his feet, work so hard for gold yet only talked about for his words, kinda embarrassing

“Man who runs in a straight line for 10 seconds, every four years, is upset that a sport that plays 82 games a year for 48 minutes is more popular”

  9. iiiiiiiiii8

Didn’t even know who the guy was until a few days ago

  10. PalletTownsDealer

This sub is on a serious Noah lyles circle jerk 💀

  11. WorriedandWeary

Victory lap for those of us that called him salty from the start. It was obvious.

Centel is an absolutely hilarious account

It’s hard when people only want to see you for less than 10 seconds every 4 years

  14. chriskot123

I mean tbh he sounds like your standard cocky douchbag. Sad, cuz a little humility goes a long way

  15. Ok-Clock-5459

Lyles is probably just mad that nba players make 100 times what he makes tbh

  16. MoistRam

Man who’s stated his personal goal is grow the popularity of his sport picks a fight with second most popular sport in the country.

    Bold move cotton.

  17. whitefang0824

Just let him enjoy the attention. In next few days, we would never hear about his name again lol

  18. CNDOTAFAN

Noah needs to realize his 10 second of fame is not comparable to the values Ant brings to this capitalist country lol

  19. marshman93_

Prime Ballsack Sports vs Prime Centel who was better

  20. Dude seems genuinely confused that an NBA player is more popular than a track star and in disbelief that basketball is more popular to market than track…buddy you are not Usain Bolt lol

  21. Glittering_Cod_7716

Lmao I defended Lyles because well…I’ve also thought American sports leagues calling themselves world champs was stupid. But this is hilarious levels of hate lmao. Two things can be true at once tho. He was hating and correct

  22. aperfectmatrix

Can’t blame the guy for trying to keep attention post-Olympics but r/NBA and NBA Twitter is about as far as it’s going to get

  23. ngmathew1234

It is dumb because it is all about marketability and popularity of the sport. Lyles probably will get more sponsorships than guy like Ryan Crouser, who is the goat in shotput.

  24. MindGoblin35

Bro likes running his mouth more than his feet
