United States won gold at the 2024 Olympics but it wasn’t easy. This is a look at how tough their run ended up and who will be on the US going forward when France might finally have what it takes to win it all.

In 4 years the US might have new young rising stars and cooper Flagg might play and curry might retire after 2028 and KD might retire at 40 and it might be the same team except lebron gone and Jaylen Brunson and JB playing
I git two thoughts about this:
1. We saw at the 2023 WC that the US needs real centers to win, Banchero, Edwards and co got bullied in those games, but it feels like the US doesnt have superstar Bigs by 2028 (altho its 4 years for now, so much can happen)
2. 2028 olympics will be in LA, so USAB will have home court, that will be insanly hard for other nations

With how good Brandon Miller was his first season, I think he'll take one of those wing spots honestly, unless he gets injured or doesn't make a big leap in the next year or two. Guy has that drive to win as well.
U have no idea of european Basketball, do your homework, serbia is in the under 16, 18, 21 a real force, there will be come a lot of good players, playing together since young age. So we're basically training French players all year to defeat us in the Olympics.
If any country of the World would've won instead of the US, the entire population would've passionately celebrated outside, howewver when it comes to America, you guys celebrate just your internal championships and almost never the international ones, which is very strange for me.

Why in trouble? It was very close at the FIBA world cup, it was very close now. LBJ, Curry and KD had a big men rotation of Embiid, AD and Bam, while Brunson, Haliburton and Edwards had to work with JJJr, Kessler and Portis. Without Curry's miracle shots, we would be talking about what a mistake it was to let the old men take over.

USA is spoiled the last 20 years and thats okay! with Lebron/Melo/Bosh/Wade/Kobe/KD/Steph. But the next 8 years, they wont win World Cups and the Olympics, the "golden era" of USA is done. France has maximum potential comming up with a lot of 7 footers who can spread the floor. Canada is still there. Serbia is still around. And the NBA will be dominated by Euro's this upcomming years. And it is already happening with Luka, Giannis, Jokic, Wemby…
