we’d have to cut someone or do a trade to open up a roster spot. I would be very open to giving him another chance with Wemby. He would be a great back up forward.

As a huge soccer fan I have to caution against buying players off the basis of good performance in an international tournament. It happens after every World Cup and the players almost never keep up their form. Showing out over a 5-6 games playing for your country is much different than consistently performing over the course of an 82 game season. I wouldn’t be totally against giving him a shot on a two way or something but I don’t think the sacrifices we’d have to make to the roster would be worth it.

He was amazing in the Olympic tournament but so was (Spurs legend and NBA champion) Patty Mills who can barely get on the court in the NBA. I hope he gets an opportunity but I don’t think we really have a roster spot for him.

Imo if he plays like that he’s better than any backup PF we have (assuming Keldon is backup SF) so I say do it

Patty mills is my argument against this. FIBA patty is amazing, he was good off the bench for the spurs. every olympics fiba patty is a monster and then returns to being an incredible bench guy who can occasionally catch fire.

why would we need him? the only reason people want him is cuz he is french and played good a couple games. our roster is solid.

Lol Barnes sochab keldon and probably castle malaki trashpenie will play the 3 and 4 for us this year he literally will get no playing time with us

I mean, I wouldn’t be mad if they did it, but I think he would fit better on a win-now team. I wouldn’t be surprised if LeGM and the Lakers were giving him a call right about now.
