The latest reports gave us an insight into the status of the Cameroonian center as he recovers from an ongoing blood clot issue but all signs are positive and if he is cleared to return to the NBA, Masai Ujiri’s front office will certainly be one of his suitors.
To further strengthen this case, we have the recent signing Bruno Fernando, who would be set to serve a similar role to what is expected for Koloko. Bruno Fernando signed an atypical contract to what is normally expected of a play his age and that could be just enough for his to really understand what is going on behind the scenes. I think Koloko missing 18 months of playing at his age is a big deal
I think it is likely they will keep Fernando and Koloko. We are still small and guard heavy. I would not be surprised if a guard gets moved probably Brown but a Agbaji may be in the bubble: he needs to shoot to stay in league particularly with competition in camp. We need to balance the roster and that involves getting bigger. Koloko is a flyer as is Fernando. No way to be sure which guy will flourish so keep them Both.
