I'd like to see him as a 4/5 on the team maybe a 3 for right now.
Have him come off the bench with the 2nd unit with Zo and Ayo. That's how he succeeds. Ayo and Zo believe in the fast pace that Matas plays at and they both can pass. Perfect match. Did you see Matas in the G League telling his teammates to get faster..let's go faster. They couldn't because those players were not that type. Giddey is fast but he's no Lonzo. What do I mean by that? Giddey dribbles the ball up the court for transition and that's slows down the team although in transition. It gives teams enough time to pick him up. Zo passes right out…full court no hesitation. That throws teams off because it's unpredictable or before a defense sets up. The correct combination of players drives Matas's success. Zo will have Matas ROY.
