  1. From what I saw from AR last year as a playmaker, he seems to look for his own shots a little bit too much. He misses open teammates because he’s looking for his own shot.

  2. Finally, a realistic assessment of AR. Very excited about Sean having his own chanel!! Congratulations Bro #subscribed 👏🏾 💪🏾🔥

  3. I think AR's ceiling is 1988 Byron Scott. (3-4 best player on a title team) I don't think AR will be able to thrive with D-Lo as a backcourt mate. Him being consistently tasked with guarding the other team's best guard isn't going to bode well. If he's paired with a poa defender, he's gonna have a helluva season.

  4. AR has hit his ceiling. And after this year, those that are still doubting will (hopefully) finally admit it. I think it’s pipe dreams to think AR would be effective both offensively and defensively. It’s not as easy as people think because defense takes a lot and the fatigue would take a toll offensively. Hope I’m proven wrong (really) but I doubt it

  5. Reaves can't develop any more with Lebron there because too much of the Lakers plays go through Lebron. The only way young players can develop is of the team they play on relies on them to become a player that can lead them in some way, Austin Reaves can't do that if Lebron and AD are the focal points and leaders of the Lakers.

  6. He’s a fourth option on most nights so it’s going to be hard to take steps offensively statically. He should get more tenacious on defense.

  7. New subscribers! Had to support your new channel, you did an amazing job for Lakers Nation so I’m so proud of your new channel. Wishing you the best & be yourself! 💛💜

  8. AR had a setback last year. It was Darvin Ham. Ham hated Reaves. Ham benched Reaves two games after he came an assist shy of a triple double against Miami in game 7 of the season. Ham in one of the early post-game pressers, was asked about Reaves. He got pissed at the question and told the reporter to ask Reaves. Ham looked like his head was going to explode. Remember early in the season. The NBA/ABC/FIBA alliance had made Reaves a star. Ham sent Reaves to the bench after 9 games. Replaced by Prince, or was it Reddish? Reaves the future star was Ham's scapegoat
Sean, you seem to think DeLo is better point then Reaves. Do you not remember the stretch of the season where the Lakers were losing by 10 in the first quarter every game for like 10 in a row. That was Russell. Do you not remember that it was Reaves playing on the second unit that was lobbing to Jackson Hayes.
Russell running the offense was a 2-man game with AD. Russell averaged 6.3 assists per game as the Main guy. That's 4 assists to AD a game and the rest of the game he was shooting. Reaves averaged 5.5 with less minutes with the ball.
Coach JJ is going to make Reaves a star this season.

Sean good luck going forward. Glad to see you ditch Trev (clickbait) Lane.

  9. I really wish we’d consider Austin coming off the bench as a way to help the team go to the next level. I think Austin’s game is perfectly tailored as a ginobli-esque 6th man. Can come in and provide whatever you need, can play with any lineup without the burden of being a consistent offensive creator. And it’s not that he CAN’T do it, he just doesn’t look for his shot as much as he could but, because he can’t be a lockdown defender, him also being passive at times hurts us imo. He’s a tier 2 connector and outside of Lebron James, connectors don’t really fit in starting lineups. You’ve either gotta heavy leaning offensive player, defensive player or both pitched high, which at that point would make you an all star.

  10. He better have a body change. That upper body to thin. You guarding Ant, ja etc .He needs to add a little everywhere. Knee s over toes guy from YouTube could help him. I think Reaves has to do that for a jump. 20ppg scores look at there bodies.

  11. I think AR will be much better this upcoming season due to having the summer off. He had a stellar season last year. He was a 16pts, 4.3 reb, 5.5 ast per game player. He also shot 49% from the floor. For a guard 49%!!!! He was the 7th ranked guard defending shots in the NBA. This dude was balling this past year. Some of you can pretend he's not better or as good as many guards in the league that's your take. I can see why the Lakers refuse to talk about him in any trade for now. I'm also expecting a better 3 pt percentage this upcoming year as well. Good stuff Sean!!!!!

  12. I think AR could have a similar role like Dbook. Both capable playmakers but should focus on own shot creation. To be that go-to scorer kinda like make something happen for the remaining 5 secs in the shot clock should the set that they ran was not productive.

And knowing what JJ is and what he wants, they’re gonna run a lot of motion sets on offense. So for AR to be that guy for them is super solid

  13. If Reaves can get his 3pt % to 40% he can be a legit 18-20 ppg guy, i would also like to see Reaves do more midrange action given how efficient he was at drawing fouls at the nail.

  14. was there a fallin tween trevor hoax lane an scrubby w/ the bigg 4head sean davis? chumps davis jus bounced w/o sayn a word. @ the end of the day they both sucx, soooo there's that.😅😅😅

  15. Austin Reaves has the second worst defensive epm in the NBA, but we treat him like he is a superstar because he is White, but reaves should come off the bench
