The Spurs are Building Something TERRIFYING…
The San Antonio Spurs are in the midst of one of their lowest points in franchise history, yet the turnaround is right around the corner. Victor Wembanyama shattered records as a rookie who is on the verge of superstardom already, young guys like Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan, Keldon Johnson, and others are on the rise, Stephon Castle is an extremely intriguing prospect, and the addition of Chris Paul alongside head coach Gregg Popovich is only going to foster this team’s rapid ascension. It may not happen this year, but within the next few seasons the Spurs are going to be a game breaking team and the process is well underway. Teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, and others in the West better win now, because, soon, it may be impossible. Let’s talk about it.

cone never misses with the nba talks‼
I am beyond hyped for this new season.
Incoming 28-54 season 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great breakdown, no casual takes whatsoever and you gave a great perspective on the future of the team
The Spurs need three things: 1. They need Castle to develop into a competent starting PG by the end of the year. 2. They need Barnes to be a solid shooter in the corner, vet in the locker room, and a competent defender. 3. They need some luck in the draft lottery (Hawks move up, Bulls move down, and some luck with their own pick if they're in the lottery).
They should be a play in team by the end of the year and they have up to 3 lottery picks in '25.
If cp3 balls out and they aren’t a play in team I could see them trading him to a win now playoff team at the deadline for some picks or a young guy. Maybe the sixers would want another facilitator or the thunder might want a vet for their playoff run?
Wemby is too good for Spurs to continue being a non play in/playoff team.
Hipefully, cp can play enough impact mins and not get hurt.
You're doing more and more like Bill Simmons with the Celtics, with you mentioning SGA several times in a Spurs video! XD
Whenever CP3 joins a new team, the point God description enters the picture, when the season ends, his team goes down the toilet
Stephon Castle might actually be my favorite prospect in this draft. Dude just contributed to greatness under Dan Hurley, and with the way he plays both ends of the floor, he compares well to Derrick White or Jrue Holiday.
Cp3 + young superstar (wemby) = play in/off
Seen it before 😊
Spurs aren't doing anything.
You guys need to stop trying to make this team something its not 😂
Just another great young talent. Wish the old guy go away.
You gotta stop listening to NBA Twitter. People claim Wemby didn’t get the ball, so how is his usage last year the highest level of any rookie ever? How did he finish 7th in usage in the entire league? NBA Twitter has never watched an actual Spurs game
The spurs have never made a big trade the entire career of Tim Duncan. Yet you think in year 3 of wemby they will make a big trade? No big trades are coming. They are gonna draft two guys in the top 10 and those guys will play instead of CP3 and Barnes
Hot take: Wembys offense is overrated and Chet will have a better career when it’s all said and done.
Something I noticed you didn't mention, is that here's a highly serendipitous nature to CP3 coming over to mentor in what will be Castle's first year:
Castle has said on numerous occasions that the current player he most sees himself modeling and wanting to be like, is…SGA.
In that case, who better to mentor Castle than the guy who's famously credited with helping SGA become the player we know today?
53-19
The spurs moves got me feeling like they over with trying to lose and will fight to be competitive. I see them winning 40-45 games
More terrifying than last year impossible 😂😂
