Cam Thomas has a Problem..
Cam Thomas is expected to be the leader of the Brooklyn Nets heading into the 2025 season and while he had an explosive 3rd season in the NBA there are still lingering concerns about his ability to become a lead guard in the league at this point.

I’ll put these things in the young player flaws category for now for a few reasons, one he’s only started 57 games in his entire career, two when it comes to the low passing rates just to give you an example Anthony Edwards is another young score first shooting guard and if you compare he and Cams college assist numbers as freshmen and his assists per game and assist percentages early in his NBA career/development to Cams this past season you’ll see they all line up almost identically but with time and experience Ant developed better vision. I say all this to say I believe Cam with more experience will further develop these things but if not he’ll likely be a 6th man.
