Spurs Should Want The NBA CUP
The San Antonio Spurs have a tough group stage for the NBA Cup. Lakers, Suns & Thunder are all apart of that group but Victor Wembanyama and the new look Spurs should absolutely want to win the NBA In Season Tournament.

Should the Spurs go for the cup? Why not?
I dont think the mid season award will mean jack shit for a lon glong time. I think it will always come down to Who has the most finals winsMVPs. No one will care about mid season tournaments when looking at the end if you are comparing someone who has rings vs someone who doesnt.
I like it. Many fans might disagree but I don’t. I think any opportunity to win a tournament style trophy to your point is history. So what it’s not a championship? Compete and try to win. Arguing otherwise is nonchalant and that’s not what I want the team to be. Rarely do guys in the pros think that way anyway. Intense competitors and winning is in their dna. Again, compete, and try to win. Good organizations like the Lakers, OKC and Utah will be so we should too. Glad I got to share. Every Spurs fan should want to win the in season tournament. 🤙🏻
If guarantees a play off spot, than it's worthy.
This year's version of the Spurs can beat all those teams in their bracket. OKC; Suns; Flakers; Jazz. But I prefer TWO lottery chances for Flagg: our own pick and the Hawks. And if the bball gods smile Spurs could have FOUR lottery chances.
You are not seriously claiming that Cooper Flagg with more "in season wins" is a better player than VW with multiple NBA titles and a "meter of success", are you?
