Most Athletic has to be Kobe Bryant, right?
born-ready
I’d say Gerald Wallace and to a lower extent Marvin Williams

LaMelo is probably the most underrated player in the NBA right now.
4 years ago, LaMelo was being compared to Magic/LeBron with his triple doubles, passing ability, and won ROTY over Ant with 86 first place votes.
3 years ago, LaMelo made the all-star team in his sophomore season. 39% from 3, 87% from the line, averaging 20/7.6/6.7.
Then there is a black box for 2 years while he is injured.
Now he’s being rated around 45-50th best player in the NBA by ESPN and the Ringer. People don’t even think of LaMelo when talking about 2028 Olympics… but they do mention players like Ant, Ja, Fox, Hali, Trae. I honestly think he’s in that tier.

Marvin Williams, Gerald Wallace, Gerald Henderson. Muggsy Bogues, Jeremy Lin, Brian Roberts, Troy Douglas. Those guys could hoop when allowed a free flow.

Raymond Felton? I think he got/gets unfairly bound to the Sean May pick as part of a “sell some tickets to UNC fans” gimmick, but he was actually a starting caliber NBA PG and a bright spot on the early Bobcat teams (I think the second best player of the Bob Johnson era, behind Crash).
He looked like a borderline All-Star the first half season he was in New York, before he got caught up in the Melo trade. And then looked like a borderline All-Star when he came back to New York, even if he fell off fast from there (prompting a favorite joke: Raymond Felton returned to New York with a chip on his shoulder, and it stayed there for about 4 months until he found it and ate it).

Chris Douglas Roberts. I feel like he single handedly won us 5 or 6 games down the stretch when he was here

Cody Zeller is under appreciated but maybe not under rated. Whenever he was down with injuries, the team went downward too. But on the other hand, he was never on a winning team either. So…

Walter Herrmann gets my pick as most underrated player in team history…. The guy would get 5 minutes of playtime and go 4-5 on the 3 point line in the last 5 minutes every time I’d go to the old Bobcats Arena.
He might have been a one-trick pony, but damn he played his role well. I swear the Bobcats would’ve won a lot more if he ever had the chance to play 15 minutes a game.
