  1. No as bad as it sounds and it is bad the problem or context is that Hamby had been signing contracts and not playing. And so it was said listen you can’t keep doing this then she signed the contract then got pregnant again. I’m not saying it’s right but the entire organization was irritated with Hamby and i had been hearing this for a while. It appeared to them that she didn’t want to play.

  2. I just dont care tbh. Its wrong but i dont gaf enough for her to lose her job or get cancelled or anything.

  3. Bro wtf is this? Has nothing to do with the Spurs…. Nobody cares about this random shit

  4. Dearica Hamby was on the Women's USA 3×3 Basketball Bronze Medal Team, she used to be on San Antonio Stars (2014) which became the Las Vegas Aces in 2018. Sometimes Clan talks about former Spurs once in a while. There are federal protections for women and their jobs and their pregnancies. Becky Hammonds toxic attitude still permeates business/corporate cultures at all levels and does need to stop. Good job Clan spreading awareness.

  5. Reminder that Hammon isn't and never will be qualified to be an NBA head coach and would be a horrible decision for us to have her. Hate when Spurs fans would say they wished she would be the coach after Pop, couldn't think of a worse choice.

  6. I don't know. Pregnancy is special but in someways incompatible with certain jobs. If a male player made choices that lead them to be out of basketball shape, it would be an issue. It affects cap space, training etc.
Women are different to men. It's one thing they have to factor in. Is it unreasonable to suggest that women who make a certain choice of career inherently choose to avoid pregnancy for that time?
No one can have it all.
That said, in this situation Becky may have handled it particularly badly. But in terms of the concept, this is an issue for female sports. Part of their life, potentially, conflicts with other life choices and the others people along for the ride.

  7. This is the same as Rihanna getting pregnant knowing that she needed to perform for the Super Bowl halftime show which was a horrible show.

  8. I don’t think it’s as horrible as you make it seem. There are more details to come, I’m sure, but so far what I’m hearing is just the dog eat dog world of professional sports.

  9. Hey man they pay them to play basketball , not have unprotected intercourse and have a child . She should’ve chose a different career or he a stay at home mom if that was the case

  10. This is disappointing from a professional point of view. I was a manager for a very long time before I recently quit… but this type of situation happens all the time. People get pregnant, or their spouse does, or they have family problems, separations and divorce, or C*vid, or another ilness… In my case over a span of two years both my parents died. Sh*t happens. Is it disappointing to have one of your better employees not able to work? Sure it is, but it was made clear to me many years ago that you 'play it by the book' and not inject your emotions or opinions. This would be the same if during summer workouts the player injured themselves and needed to be out. They aren't available for whatever reason, doesn't matter, and you put them on injured status, and bring someone in on a temporary contract. Besides, Becky is a coach – she doesn't sign the checks. My employees knew I had their back and was their sh*t umbrella to upper management if they had a problem with it. Becky should be the advocate. Now the players have to wonder, and this reduces her effectiveness as a coach.

  11. She is definitely not suited for the WNBA. She actually is probably better suited for the NBA in the NBA is basketball first and. That’s her mentality.

  12. Honestly dont understand what she did wrong. Hamby signed a contract WHILE SHE WAS TWO MONTHS PREGNANT. Eveyone has autonomy over their body, but signing for guaranteed money knowing youre guaranteed not to do any work is corporate abuse. She could have been pregnant just not on the company dime.

  13. Getting pregnant is a choice. When you have signed a contract to be available to play…then get knocked up, then that is on her. Since when are bosses not allowed to question if you are in breech of contract on essentially a voluntary issue?

  14. I keep hearing about Tyler Herro for Keldon and Tre need that video asap. Tyler's contract is shitball
