Are these seriously the prices for face value tickets?

Granted it’s “banner night”, but holy Moses what is going on. Corner love is $3,725 face before fees?!? The balcony is $1,265?!

This is obscene.

First banner night in 16 years. Definitely gonna be pricey.

Once I got through the queue and saw those prices, I just laughed and said “guess I’ll be watching from the couch”.

The Garden has phased out the working class. Not just the Garden basically any event in Boston.

Cmon people, it’s Boston. And a banner ceremony. All the rich fucks are gonna go and pretend they are die hard fans

If you pay that, you are a sucker. Thats absolutely ridiculous

Gotta pay for those extensions somehow 🤷‍♂️

  8. The banner will be there the next game. Save your money for gods sake

I’m not sure where you are looking, but maybe this was when only Season Ticket members had their tickets? I see balcony seats for $377 and Loge for $740 right now on VividSeats.

  13. What website are you using? Haven’t checked any others but seatgeek has front row tickets in the same loge section for less than that

  14. Kyrie-Swirving

Go on seatgeek. Prices aren’t bad at all

  15. There’s millions of Celtics fans and under 20k seats.

If tickets were $100, and a couple million people were willing to pay that, how would that even work? Just like a lottery situation? Whoever has the best internet connection? If the tickets were cheaper your odds of getting in would be miniscule.

I prefer being able to go to any game I want if I’m willing to pay what the resale market will bear.

  16. No, there’s almost no such thing as face value.

Mos tod what you see on these sites is STMs trying to resale and they’ll always price them high at first release and come down.

I haven’t gotten the email that says I can sell yet as a STM so Idk how this got there.

A lot of teams use dynamic pricing. If they don’t sell, they could come down. If a lot of tickets sell early, the remaining ones can increase.

You are so far in advance, people aren’t really desperate to sell at this point. But if you are willing to pay that price they’ll happily let you have them

  19. TuesdayTrex

The only solace here is some ambitious scalpers are going to lose money trying to flip these

  20. VanillaGorilla611

NBA champs and the Knicks who had an insane season last year, yeah that makes sense, it’s not like your buying a ticket to watch them play the Pistons or something
