    Yeah, I also wonder why just the NBA? The MLB literally calls their finals “the world series”. Why not pick on them? lol

    Also, I barely hear people call the NBA champs the world champs. Maybe ten years ago it was more of a thing. But I rarely hear it now since Pop brought it up.

    I would like to see some version of a “champions league.” Even if the Celtics would clown the Euroleague winner, I think it’s something would help grow the game more and become more interesting over time.

    Technically they do have a league its called the diamond league. Its hosted around the world and i think winners of events get paid 25k each 1st place per meet. Its pretty neat. But its not that big as the NBA and Noah honestly keeps trying to punch above his weight with his beef to try and promote himself.

    I coach and follow track. Its pretty niche, and understandably so. Noah is trying to play a heel and I cannot stand him.

    With legalized sports gambling, it’s kind of wild there are no professional track and field leagues. Degenerate gamblers addicted to watching a shotput or javelin in the air seems like everything those books could hope for

    THE NBA DOES NOT EVEN CALL ITSELF WORLD CHAMPS. That’s just something T-shirt makers or the team might put on a banner, but the Association itself does not title the Finals Championship “world”, it just says NBA finals champion. This is all made up in the first place.
